Thank you so much for this info. I'm 58 and on SSDI and have been doing so much research, and I'm so nervous about getting everything right. I live in MN but have intentions of living out of my car and traveling the US starting june 2024. If I understand correctly, I would need to contact America's Mailbox first to establish mail forwarding and a physical address? Then provide a reciept from the hotel with my domicile address from America's Mailbox, to the DMV to get my DL? Would the mailing address and physical address be the same then? Sorry for this, I'm just nervous. Lol

My suggestion is to bring as little as possible. Most everything is available here. When we leave and then return next year my personal possessions will fit in a small duffel bag. The dog stroller and crate, even though the collapse, take up a bit of room in our car. As to the blood pressure issue, San Miguel de Allende is the only place I’ve found that I “pant.”

I recently opened a business bank account and tried to have the address be the physical address of my mail center. The bank later notified me that they would freeze my account until I gave them a physical address that actually belonged to me/the business, so I had to give them my home address even though they will still use my mail centers address for mail. I’m just wondering how to get around that if you’re keeping an American bank account. Thank you!
