Here you are a video about the Formula Renault 3.5 cars. They are moved by a 3.4 litre V8 engine which is able to produce 530 bhp and 445 Nm of torque at 7250 rpm. The red line is setted at 9500 rpm.

They sound incredible. That sound itself is what drew me to these things, then the quality of the racing... this series (now Formula V8) is next level.
wow! those upshifts and downshifts are menacing. they have this late 80's f1 sound almost. a little refined for lack of better tersm. wooooow

This is one of the reasons of why Formula fans like me, are leaving; but im not leaving, the V6 sound can be horrible, but i still don't care, Formula Racing Series is one of my Favorite Sports. 😜🤘

This was the car that made me fall in love with motorsport when I was a kid. So raw yet so beautiful. I remember going to the Hungaroring year after year just to feel these beasts roaring at me at 280kph. Shame to see them gone 'cause of Renault's F1 struggles..
I love the sound, but personally I'm more of a high pitch v10 or v12, but these engines have something special, for me they sound like a high revving growling american v8

Renault have the potential to make sportcars like Ferrari, Bmw, Mercedes ... Just put this kind of V8 (adapted to the road, but with the same kind of sound) in a nice and well made car (renault sport is known for their awesome chassis) and it would be a succes

Then there is a magic thing called exhaust,that can reduce the levels of noise,improve performance,etc,of course you aint gonna fit a racing engine in a road car,but they have a potential as zm2y611 said,because of theirs sporting heritage etc.

Unpopular opinion: They sound better than F1 2013 V8 cars
It is a support class so who cares. They rev the engines high so you can`t get the muscle sound if you choose to rev a v8 this high.

I used your video-sounds today as music while my husband and his cousin, both real racing fans, were playing a game with their old racing car models. They use the names of real drivers and a roulette to get points to position the cars. They liked it very much. Thank you.

Of course a racing engine is measured on the world championship and thus of course by far currently the best F1 engine is the Renault Sport, the current World Champion of F1 WC with the RedBull Renault Team
No discussion possible vs the truth, we are not there on a sucker hollywood movie or virtual videogame but on real tracks & the real track is RENAULT SPORT POWER! :-)
Well, I can say the same for you. Renault is now F1 WC, but we have to remember that Ferrari is the most winning of F1. If we talk of F1, Ferrari is better. Now Red Bull is winning because of a good chassis.. Ferraris have only a good engine. In F1, engines are at the same level from the rules laid.

They are V8's that produce 530bhp. They do not have a turbo.

Sounds like a GP2 car although not quite as powerful, I think they used to use V6's but they definitely sound like V8's here, I imagine performance wise their probably a couple of seconds faster then Formula 2 but a couple of seconds slower then GP2 and Superleague V12's so probably almost identical to Auto GP or 1st generation A1's, dosnt sound dissimilar to the Lola/Zytek cars actually!
Oh God, that sounds absolutely divine man. I know that they have Zytek engines but they sound almost exactly like the late Georg Plasa's Judd BMW 134. If only F1 cars looked and sounded as good as this, because I would rather watch these than F1's any day.

These cars are alive compaired to the 2017 and 2018 F1 cars.

Ferrari runned so in a time where very few great & professional teams runned & even often just one ... Ferrari itself ... So sure, more easy to win lol
- Renault-Sport as a Team Renault F1 arrive in ... 1977 (& designed & built the 1st F1 Turbo engine for your education) until 1985 to come back as a Renault Team in 2002 so since times where much more great & professional teams can win!

Marino Valente Kevin Magnussen, Stoffel Vandoorne and Carlos Sainz. If remember correctly Kmag won the championship that year.
