    Helpful video! I liked the tip on Sampo swivel and ensuring the closed end is toward the flasher.

    If you don't have a down rigger, what do you recommend to get your lure down to the certain depth? Thanks

    Watched them all, this is the most impartial video and 1 of the more informative so far (teaching vs. selling) Good job thank you. Ordered oki phantom and twisted sister both.

    I know this is a super old video but any chance you could share what size sampo swivel you used here?

    Is the Gibbs moon jelly flasher in chartreuse considered adequate for Vancouver ocean at depths to 200ft? Or is it more for sunny days on higher elevations?

    Hi, could you talk about where you should run your down riggers when you spot a bait ball?. Would even be cool if you could show it on a live trip on your fishfinder. Thanks

    Can you tell me what length my fwd portion of leader should be and strength? I troll chinook in open ocean at depths of 25 down to 160 pulls with an individual wt release (2.5 lbs). I got lots of answers on what goes on BEHIND the flasher but zero on length & strength in front of it. Thx in advance.

      Hi Jeff, I'm not totally sure. You could contact Pacific Angler in Vancouver which is where this video was filmed and I'm sure they have them and would be happy to help you out.

    What is the purpose of the bumper and bead?

    • @FishingwithRod
      @FishingwithRod  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      To protect the knot at the swivel when the main line catches debris (seaweed, etc) which slide down to the swivel.

    Your presentation on flashers could use some improvement ! Too fast, bouncing ideas, grabbing different flashers etc.
    The idea a ball bearing swivel has a front and back may have merit , worth exploring, thankyou
