  • The Ropeway on Mount Hakoda in Japan opened in October 1968. From winter to spring, mountaineering and snow-green trees and numerous alpine plants bloom, and visitors can enjoy high-rise wetlands and alpine plants for 30 to 60 minutes using the natural walking course from Sanjeongsan Station. A course to go down to Skayu Hot Springs from the summit of Akakuradage, Idodake, and North Hot Koda, around the summit of Oodake, to Jogenashi and Gekena, is also popular. The Ropeway's gondola was remodeled in May 2003 and was manufactured by CWA, Switzerland, with a boarding capacity of 101 people.
