- Here's an F1 onboard lap driving at the Bridgehampton Race Circuit in Sag Harbor, New York, United States. This Formula 1 hotlap is driven in Assetto Corsa with Lewis Hamilton in the RSS Formula Hybrid 2020 using the F1 2020 black Mercedes W11 car livery.

My father took me to see the Can-Am series races here in '66&'67. I love this place. Too bad it's gone.

Bridgehampton was my first track back in the day of driver education. I was hooked, became an instructor and turned to amateur racing with a track modified E30 M3. Given this was my home track I usually ran it some 15-20 events per year. Finally getting into the low 1:50's
Low and behold the track finally succumbed to the forces at will, and it became a golf course.
RIP Bridgehampton, you are still one of the best tracks I've ever driven. Despite the poor road surface. There's still nothing like going under the Bridge foot to the floor!
Lewis, if you read this (?) thanks for blowing my mind and you'll always be my favorite driver!

We can’t have anything nice because rich assholes who think they are better than everyone have literally nothing better to do than bitch about a race track that was there before they were, get it shut down and turn it into a golf course, while their wrinkly old asses score 40 over par while paying $100k a year to play golf at this one golf course in between sips of their $450 glass of wine

The curbs are literally tires asphalted in. That's both hilarious and horrifying.
And those of us who drove it remember, in the downhill after S/F, at the far left hand "track out" - where the edge of the pavement ended, there was a 3" plus drop off into the dirt - a place you never wanted to see your LF wheel !!
Formula 1 championship in this track was possible
I did a SCCA drivers school there in a Formula Ford and a few Porsche Club events. Wonderful track so sad to see that place turn into a golf course. The residents couldn't grasp how great that place could have been along with the money that could have flowed into their community. Now I hear they're complaining about the pesticides the golf course uses. This is a pretty cool simulation of what a modern F1 car could have done at the place. Just imagine what the place would have been today if a F1 race was there.
It is the "copy my homework, but make sure it doesn't look the same" version of Brands Hatch 😂

I remember driving at Bridgehamton in the early '70s. Camel GT series. Lots of Corvettes entered. Did well for 2 hrs 45 minutes when engine let go.😢.

The fact that there are 5 or 6 right turns on a nascar circuit without issue is OUTSTANDING.
This is not a NASCAR track, NASCAR never raced here. This was for Trans-Am, Can-Am and older sports cars and endurance racing.

@@mgtowoutlaw6950 indeed I am. My old racing coach was from Long Island, as I was, and raced there a lot in the early days of IMSA. He never mentioned NASCAR racing there

Looking through your playlists I don't think you've ever covered Knockhill before - if/when you do, could I request it be David Coulthard in one of his West McLaren Mercedes cars, circa 1997-2003? Or if it has to be a more modern car, Paul di Resta when he subbed in the 2017(?) Williams. Many thanks!

No curves its a challenging one. All car slide when there overtake through the hairpin,lock up,crashing just white mountain with no walls,triying making shortcut through the mountain,this circuit is a bumpy and are couple of people have to see a pit lane to pit stop or not.
Americans be like: A no oval circuit in our soil, unacceptable. And they closed it

Have you guys ever heard of a planned street circuit in Port Imperial, NJ that was supposed to be named the Grand Prix of America but was canceled for idk what reason, anyways just search up Port Imperial Street Circuit
I only know that the Formula 1 2013 season saw a track in New Jersey in the calender which haven‘t been completed in time and afterwards got cancelled.
Yeah, I'd love to see a lap there too. But I think there is no mod for it !
