@@CFH50 unsure man. but they just released a new song for their current US tour with the lead singer from Borknagar, worth a listen. Bit different, same RC riffs 🙌🏼 th-cam.com/video/_qWWSSP-9xw/w-d-xo.html
Ok be honest with yourself listen to their older albums and think about it. This is barely good... comes nowhere close to the vampire of nazareth, enemy of truth or persepolis
What an epic track, Flesh always delivers , never disappoints !!!!!!!!!! Loving it cause it reminds their legendary musical past !!!!! Can’t wait for the new album !!!!!! Πάμε ρε μάγκες !!!!!!
Been listening to SF from the days of Esoptron… so nearly three decades now, most bands in the genre typically loose touch over time, thankfully these guys are getting better and better with each release, bless Septic Flesh for yet another masterpiece…I’ve seen the end of times and Septic are still there!
@Ostia Hermes - they _are_ great live, yes. Depending on the mix, the orchestral backing might go under a bit though. But still nothing compared to the live situation with Carach Angren for example. 😵
This is truly an unbelievable work of dark art and one of the best songs I've heard the last few years. Septicflesh is on another level right now, every song is a lifetime experience.
Well if you like them, you have plenty of great albums to listen to starting with Communion, The Great Mass, Titan and last but not least Codex Omega. There are also prior albums but in a more old school style. :)
There's something really different about this one... Maybe it sounds like a return to The Great Mass through its soaring melody. It's perfect, I missed SF sounding like this!
You guys are sick. I have been into metal since I was a kid. And it spins me out that there are guys like you pumping out fresh riffs and beats in this gen Awesome keep up the good work.
They've always had some amazing hits here and there, but I can't understate how good this latest album Modern Primitive is. They've managed to consistently deliver a very grandiose vision, on relentlessly great compositions for its whole length. It's SO addictive and loopable. It's hard to pick a favorite, but this song might be the most 'hype' one for me.
This track is truly epic! I am speechless! I was wondering if it was possible to produce something that is even close to the Codex Omega masterpiece. The first 3 tracks have my mind blown. I can’t wait to see them live in Chicago!
It became my graduation exam anthem, thanks Septicflesh for this masterpiece, you helped me to get "full A" from nuclear physics and dystopic literature 😂
@Jimmy Kerast Symphonic implies the use of orchestration, whether real or synthesised. Melodic is strictly to do with the riffs, which stem from NWOBHM bands (especially Iron Maiden), and occasionally thrash metal (Carcass are a big proponent of thrashy melodic death metal, for example). They are two very distinct sub genres. Sure, there are bands that may blend the two, but they're the exception, not the rule. This isn't nitpicking, this is knowing the difference between the two. Septicflesh and Fleshgod Apocalypse sound nothing like Dark Tranquillity or Amon Amarth, for example. In fact, you'd be far more likely to find similarities between the former 2 bands and a band like Epica, than you would between the former and the latter.
in 40 years of listening to metal, death metal being in a death metal band etc this has to be one of the best songs ever written in my opinion. simply fantastic!
Far & away the best yet of the tracks you've released for the new album & that's saying a LOT, considering every track is among your best works EVER!! Thanks so much!
This is an anthem!! I miss this style of tunes from Septic but they have been on a roll and I hope this continues for a long time...like a Desert Throne!

Sometimes you discover bands and you listen to their music then after a few times you have enough. But your music gets better each time you listen to it, it's never enough! Every single song it's an anthem, a chunk of forgotten history, a message. As artists you are on a whole different level! I bow before your talent!
I don't hear much experimentation here. Sounds lackluster and quite washed out. much less feeling and emotion in this track than historically with them. They sound tired. And the music is quite cookie-cutter. I really enjoy the band, but I'm noticing this happening to alot of the larger metal acts. Each release gets washed out a little more, a little less soul, a little less originality.
@@bryanharrison3889 You are entitled to your opinion Bryan and thank you for sharing. I just dont see how this is similar to their other songs at all, especially the other two🤔 the difference to me is night and day
I don't hear any experimentation here. The whole song is simple. Simple melody, simple song structure, simple lyric. Feels like a 4 minutes long chorus. I like it regardless of its simplicity, but it's below of their song writing skills.
Septicflesh is making music that is beautiful, moving and brutally heavy at the same time. Every aspect is so well done: The music and orchestration from Christos is truly phenomenal. This band is truly unique and revolutionary.
Let's go!! I'm glad SF getting more notice these days... I hope this will also help in bringing attention to their first phase, of 6 amazing albums prior to Communion.
@Jimmy Kerast No man, come on... :) I'll admit that Sumerian Daemons and Revolution DNA are in fact my favorite S-F albums from the old days. But no Mystic Places of Dawn and Ophidian Wheel? :) I personally can't see myself without them
Another song? Great! Glad to see they never fall into the usual "lets do the same thing again" trap! Every song usually needs a couple of listening to grap all the details in this dark jewelry.

This remains my favorite song of the new album (which in itself is a solid release in my book) and this video clip... With the setting, the visuals, the remains of giant serpents... It reminds me a lot of "Raised by Wolves" (and the lyrics only increase this feeling). Fantastic.

This song is everything I want a sympho deathmetal song to be. Brutal and harmonious at the same time. I love the orchestration and at the end when all fades except that brutal riff accompanied by a melodic guitar I get goosebumps. This is perfection.
Probably the best thing on nuclear blast. I'm glad you didnt tone down like other bands do when they come to nuclear blast. I'm glad you've stayed true to your sound.
After listening to this 3rd song out of their new forthcoming album, and I have paid great attention to all 3 songs / clips already, I am now convinced their new offering could be MONUMENTAL, and after being a follower (and insider) of this beloved music and the Hellenic scene as a whole since the early 80s, I am NOT stating this lightly.
