I m a french woman living with a german partner in a spanish speaking country where everyone either pronounces or writes our names wrong on a daily basis. And who cares seriously ...

@@julie977 Agreed! Real heroes deserve respect, not racist rhetoric! Everything about this video is epic and anyone who thinks they're being smart or cute by being nasty need a wakeup call: Christine is still fighting the good fight everyday for countless patients and still makes time to be part of a diverse community of makers, all on top of being a Mom, AND being an example for a young generation of creators to enter the historical dress space that's been so tightly held by white scholars.
For people to act like this the day before International Women's Day is really a reminder that we still have a lot of work to do in driving intersectionality in feminism.

I have made a couple of Audrey Hepburn’s dresses (the first little black long dress and the dress that is paired with the black hat and alligator shoes) and I intend to make the iconic black dress again but with an addition of some short sleeves since I have a bit of a concern about my arms but I have worn the dress without sleeves and I think I might do that again to be very accurate to the film. Okay.... but HOW do you have time for all this? Seriously, can we get a motivation/life planning/“what my week looks like” video so we can learn how you accomplish all in your life?

This is gorgeous Christine! Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favourite Audrey Hepburn movies only topped by Sabrina.
I believe Audrey's son made a documentary about her life recently (within the last few years) and I also remember seeing a show about her saying she wore a corset every day unless she was pregnant. No idea if that would have any bearing on her costumes for movie roles but an interesting piece of trivia nonetheless.
Thank you for sharing your creativity with the world! ❤

Absolutely fantastic work! You are so talented. I love Cornelia James too - I was afraid a bit for you eating the cupcake with the gloves but they are washable so it’s all good. In any case, the duchess satin looked INCREDIBLE and draped so well on you and I’d love to see you do more Audrey H style reproductions.

Wonderful video! I most want to see more of your toddler. He is adorable and the two of you are precious together! Perhaps you could create a period child's outfit? I love vintage children's clothing.

Hope this doesn’t show up twice. Found your video of the squirrel Dior book bag and thought it and the tote were amazing. Cannot sew beyond buttons and emergency hems or seams, but am fascinated by your channel. You are now the third great sewing channel I follow. Henry Wilkerson is an expert on Hepburn and Givenchy (the g is soft), but he doesn’t upload often, and Bernadette Banner is off in her fantasy Edwardian world. You are Real World and I’m here for it.
When my daughter had meningitis as a child, we watched Funny Face practically on a loop. It was the only thing to hold her attention. We also thought the S. Coppola version of Marie Antoinette was total eye candy, so I will watch that video next. Sabrina is one of the movies my husband and I have seen multiple times and the white dress with black is a stunner. That overskirt thing is such a chic look, even when Lucy wore it in I Love Lucy.
Great dress, great look and great video! Have a Happy New Year and stay safe.
