New boss in the latest update. The world boss version is actually more annoying imo. This is the story version of it. I am running a new team with 2 new additions. Blade and Huohuo. They seem to be doing some good damage. If I get Ruan Mei I'll probably make a second team of Blade, Ruan Mei, Clara/Jing Yuan, and huohuo. So let's see what happens. The benefit of the world boss version is you can take it at lower difficulties. I'm Equalibrium 5 and I struggled with the story boss so much. But for world boss clears I can just do it on Difficulty 4 to make it easier
i fkin gave up trying to kill it, with the characters i have like getting to the 2nd phase is fine BUT 2nd phase is as far as im gonna get and i wont even have it down to 90 hp and jinglu is dead and once she dies everyone else fall like dominos, i even went out of my way to level up gepard and my whole team just for this boss and i still cant do anything
@@flatkoodo you have any healers? i used 2 healers (huohuo & bailu) with my jingliu. i also pulled for blade but if u don’t have him gepard should be fine to build a protection squad for jingliu
This boss was insane. I wasnt expecting this when I just wanted to unlock the cute cats. I had to maximize defense for my team all the way to stand a chance. 3 tries in and phys MC, March, Gepard, and Welt is the team that carried me to the end
I did this with Yangqing, Pela, Fire MC and Natasha. The key is to use Fire MC as bait and time Natasha heals particularly in Phase 2. Yangqing is your DPS buffed by Pela's enemy DEF reduction.
I just did it with Fire MC always defending and never attacking, Yukong, Silver Wolf and Lynx for heal. I just attacked the boss a bunch and healed a lot. Followed another comment's advice to not touch any of the 4 little guys so that when Phase 2 hits none of those orange beetles had room to appear. Worked out well.
probably maxed out characters with all +15 relics. As new F2P and because of the trailblaze level bullshit this game has i get one shot before i get a turn. My units are 70 this thing is 76+ and i don't have maxed LC or Relics yet.
to everyone in the comments struggling dont give up 🙏 im E6, f2p, and never pull for lightcones so i spent HOURS trying to figure out a team. i got lucky and won my 50/50 on blade who i was saving for so huohuo, bailu, jingliu, & blade was my team that beat this. it was my first time fighting this bc i dont do simulated universe or any weekly stuff so this boss was definitely a wake up call that i need to build my defense characters 😭 also im surprised they didnt have ruan mei assist the player since its a story event like she fr made us suffer

Prioritize the exploding orange bug then the boss toughness. Don't try to kill the other bugs and use good Shielders like Fu Xuan, Gepard or Fire MC. Best DPS for this is Argenti or Dan Heng IL.

After attempting this 10x if im correct the best defence to me is to use Bronya and Natasha because of their debuff dispel ability, I notice a pattern that when the king swarm manage to put a quantum break on one of your characters the other swarms will lock on that character, so this is when Bronya and Natasha shines, I use Bronya skill on Gepard to recharge his ultimate faster. When the swarm king is in his phase where you hit him he will spawn his minions, I just force him to spawn the maximum amount and target him only with my Feixiao. I play the game of attrition, on the second phase like 40% ish, my Bronya is knocked out. Luckily I manage to beat him.
did this boss with hanya, pela, lynx and natasha (newbie player) for phase 1, just focus on attacking the main boss, leave the minions it'll get done quicker that way. phase 2 however is where it's at. focus on the minions this time and leave the boss until every single minion is cleared. use ice or physical dps (pela and hanya here) and carry 2 healers/shielders. again, this shit took me 15 tries, so don't fret if the boss isnt budging. use food and def food and its gonna work
f*** this boss! I now realize one flaw in Star Rail's level scaling compared to Genshin. Idk if it's my character builds, or the fact that I ascended my equilibrium level before the quest so now this boss is too hard to beat and I can't change the level once it's been ascended like Genshin's, but this boss was not made for casual players like me. They at least should've made it easier for the main quest.
slowly finding ways to fight this boss. go aggressive in the first place, and have a healer and shielder in the team. also, dedicate the dps to the main insect. i used yanqing and it took minutes before i got to phase two. still need extra experiment in phase 2 bc this mosquito is annoying.
This boss fight gave me so much PTSD that now, every time I encounter an boss with two phases, I think, "Oh no, this is going to be a Swarm King situation all over again, isn't it?"
the team im using is argenti, silverwolf, bailu and march 7th but all of them are way too squishy and the boss practically 3 shots them all, if i try using relics that have more hp dedicated i just lose all my damage idk what to do
This is quite the boss. Super imposing and hard even with MoC10 teams. The key is to have plenty of survivability and prioritize glowing adds or they will berserk your teammates. Although the boss is weak to physical Clara is not the best choice unless you can CC the glowing adds, so having Luocha will really help. And don't fret if you lose, bosses like this one, they're meant to remind you to max out your main team. :P
I used the protagonist (path of destruction-phys dmg), March 7th for shields and ice dmg, Natasha for heals and phys dmg and Yukong for Harmony dmg and buffs. Good luck everyone, it's an extremely tough boss, but the theme is awesome!
Finally did it!!! March 7th carried me. I only had 4* Relics on her but I just buff her up. Always use shield on herself. Her auto freeze helps so much and I barely have any EHR on her, like 10% lmao Alongside with FireMC doing auto attack (he gives passive defense reduction), Natasha (save Ult after the big blast) and Silver Wolf. Yep.. I've tried using my Yangqing dmg but he always die at phase 2. Idk how but using SW helps? Probably because of - 40% defense and many debuffs. My team was fully healed at EQ5 😊❤
I beated this at EQ 3, never pulled since 1.5 my F2P team was Herta E2, March 7th, Natasha, Physical MC it’s pretty annoying when Herta does her follow up attack when the bug is in its Multiply state but I survived March 7th and Natasha really help if you get their cleanse talent. So if you get entangled you can cleanse it, otherwise it’s pretty hard without cleanse and I couldn’t do it without the talent also make sure to eat food that can buff your characters or give you more max HP and level up your relics, level, lightcone, talents to the max.
I was running dual dps team of Jingliu and Blade with Ruan Mei and Luocha supporting. The fire bugs are priority 1 since they can disable Luocha’s healing, and things can get dicey if all the bugs focus on one person. Fire Mc can be rotated in RM’s place, I put him next to Blade since even if the fire bugs explode, it should only hit Blade and MC, who already spend most turns using basic attack.
I did this fight at least 5 times until I finally decided to go in with two healers. I used Huohuo (cleansing, extra attack buff, energy regeneration), Bailu (Invigoration, revive), Jingliu (Ice weakness of course plus she can buff herself and is also my strongest DPS lol), and Lunae (Imaginary weakness and he can also buff himself). It was a pretty lengthy fight lol but with the right strategizing you can make it work.
Finally beat it. I had a weird team, ruan mei, March, sushang and bailu. Focused on the main bug and didn't attack the rest, mei helped with buffs and sushang did justice but without bailu healing I wouldn't have made it either
Just finished fighting that thing and after 10+ tries IVE FINALLY WON Team used: Gepard, Lynx, Clara and Argenti Builds + LV on chara: 60/60 (Stacked on def), 60/70 (Stacked on HP, but also a bit of def cuz for some reason she always gets targeted, idk why), 60/60 (W/ SIGNARTURE LIGHTCONE, stacked on ATK), 60/60 (W/ SIGNARTURE LIGHTCONE, Stacked on Crit rate/dmg + ATK.) (I think without their signature lightcones is also ok, but it'll rely more on your relics I think, idk not a expert-) Equilibrium Level: 4 Strategy: Do not use Lynx's ult unless if most of your party is near half hp, use skill when a character is close to half hp. Always keep an eye out for your team's shield, it must always be up, timing on when to ult it's usually around 1-2 characters lost their shields, or the entire team's shield is nearly gone. Try your best to have skill points for Gepard cuz of his amazing burst + breaking the enemies shield(?). For Clara and Argenti, spam NA, UNLESS if the boss doesn't multiply + have it's minions. I didn't care if Argenti had his entire ult cuz he was just their to aggressively deal a decent amount of dmg while breaking a ton of shields lmao- Beware that Clara can sometimes accidentally hit the boss (multiply) when she has the follow up atk, so yea, try not to die when that happens. Also, don't kill the bugs when the boss uses its multiply skill, it'll produce even more of its minions. Leave it until the skill ends, then use your AOE ATKs to kill all of the bugs at once, it deals a hilariously amount of dmg. Alternative team options: Gepard - > Fire MC, Lynx/Natasha (Tho I prefer Lynx, idk it feels like she heals more-), Clara - > March 7th (Extra shield + follow up is pretty damn good-), Argenti - > Any break shields(?) characters- (Sushang cuz of single target, would prolly be your best bet tho) Alternative team works similarly to the team I used, but be careful of MC's AOE ATK, aggressively use MC's skill when the boss multiplies Hope this helps, and DONT GIVE UP!!
Even if you don't have argenti take phy mc(with optimal break effect) along with sushang or clara whatever you have. I had argenti, the fight was a breeze on first try. Used argenti phy mc pela and gepard. Remember breaking the enemy is main goal.
Girl I cant do this- My team is Quingque, Gepard, Ruan Mei and Bailu (Replaced Ruan Mei with Bronya as well for cleanse and I tried using doctor ratio instead of quingque but he kinda sucks rn because i cant level his talents since they're locked behind the boss battle 😭)
Ngl this might be because of my low Eli, but with Trailblazer (Destruction), March, Feixao and Natasha it’s pretty doable. Even managed to burst trough a third phase because of a bug (no pun intended)
I cant seem to beat this boss. I just hit eq 4. I have argenti and seele as dps chars and also gepard but even then he just destroys my team in phase 2. Idk if im doing something wrong. I could beat every boss just fine before this
@@egoswayd Well I haven't managed to beat it yet. However I removed seele from the team as the boss has quantum res and used tingyun to buff and provide energy to argenti. Also I used bailu along with gepard. Now I can take him down to 27%. My bailu is severely under leveled so I'm hoping once I build her I'll defeat this
I beat the first phase with argenti blade bailu and yukong (had bronya first but i needed another for breaking the weakness) and got threw 50% of the second phase but he summoned one red bug which then imploded on my team made my healer not heal so i lose my one time revive and then got absolutly folded. (Edit: turns out I just needed to replace yukong and blade for natasha and fire mc and didn't go under 50% hp for most of the fight including phase 2)
I managed to finally finish this with E2 Herta, E1 Natasha, Ruan Mei and Gepard😭(if you don’t have Ruan Mei, use Bronya or if u don’t have Gepard, March 7th is good too)
Managed to win after several tries, different team variations. F2P, got some 5 stars out of sheer luck on single free rolls. Fire MC, Nat, Jingliu, Clara. Focused on not hitting the boss as much, just having the adds damage it. Fire MC/Clara taunting for aggro (my Jingliu is way too squishy compared to Clara and Fire MC. Built her for crit/effect). Nat for sustain. Got super lucky in phase 2 with mostly the standard attack swarm spawning and not the self-combusting ones. I can see this being alot easier with Luocha, being a tremendous imaginary sustain.
My setup was trailblazer (preservation), baliu, Natasha (level 70 light cone), and jinglu at max equilibrium. You need a lot of patience, but it is doable. At one point I was thinking i couldn’t beat it, but you certainly need 2 healers and 2 dps. My jinglu died at the end, but I just beat it as the boss was at 3%.
you need a strong shielder. to take attention away from your other units. I used fire mc. your team looks solid enough. Are your talents not maxed out?
i would suggest using characters who have stacked talents, and artifacts. I've spent considerable time upgrading all the units you see on my teams, as well as making sure their artifacts and talents are high to max. Otherwise I wouldn't be using them this late in the game. You're gonna need a unit that can break the toughness bar of the boss. It's only weak to normal, imaginary, and ice, so you'll need an attacking unit that can deal that type of damage. If not then you need a self sustain team that can block and heal well while you chip away.

Defeated it just lol, but thanks for advice. Unfortunately my Tingyun is hella squishy and I wanted to prioritize weakness break and survivability. Apparently food is really helpful.
With Acheron this Boss battle became a joke.. You just need to wait the phase where it keeps summoning smaller bugs if you keep hitting Scarabaz then deal BIG PP dmg to the smaller ones and watch them explode. And check how your Acheron gain stacks automatically and just use her ULT
Can someone please help me with what team is the best for this fight? I'm at max equilibrium level but my characters are very underbuilt. I have all f2p characters, silver wolf kafka, DHIL, all standard 5* except for bailu Welt and gepard. What team do I use?
I beat it by simply not killing ny insects from 1st phase so the exploding ones cant show up, its alot of healing but its better than those exploding fuckers.
I finally defeated this mf bug. This sht hits really hard that my first team (physical mc, sw, sushang, nat) can't even last 3 turns on phase 2. Fortunately I have fu xuan so I switched my team comp to blade, fu xuan, lynx, and sw. Although I didn't have high hopes to this comp because my blade and lynx doesn't have a proper build (stats on their relics are mismatched and not suited for them), but surprisingly I won lol.
Unexpected Herta very useful aginst this boss because with her talent can break it easily by activate her talent via attack boss keep it summon minion This boss seem like Anti Seele because summon minion and all of them resist Quantum made her not effective
I tried 8 times😭 i finally won with blade, Jing Yuan, Bailu and Lynx I did equilibrium 6 quest right before the fight and I didn't expect it to suddenly be so hard again😭 BUT I DID IT
I only have 1 team completely built to 80 max for kafka, and its just not going to get it. Please do not pass your eq trials without having at least 2 or 3 solid teams built. By the time I build an entire team from the ground up to defeat this, the event is going to be over.

Running an E3 Topaz, Jingliu, Welt and Fu Xuan, it works alright. Until the duplicating of the enemies draws the fight out long enough to where Fu Xuan can't heal or get her ultimate in time. Truly an annoying boss, these bugs are the most annoying things ever. Questing if getting Ruan Mei would actually make a difference with beating this boss.
People keep using odd elements, while this boss clearly made to break. This update is all about breaking the enemy. Use your fucking physical mc(which everyone have) , they are enough to shred the shield. Also those new ninja bugs are weak to physical too.
nah my fight with this boss actually went really well, im on equilibrium 6 but with a team of fu xuan and luocha nobody came close to dying at all cause fu xuan takes hits SO WELL. Then my yanqing just destroyed the actual boss fairly well when every other enemy was focused on trying to kill my fu xuan. Although it did take fairly long LOL

There is no way you beat this until you leveled a team up to 80 and even then you don't know if you wasted your resources on characters you don't even want to level up. Hoyoverse wont help. They simply refuse to lower your TB level even if you just leveled up. The game design is complete SHIT.

@@FUDBuddy every time the patch nears its end, hoyo would send a message about a patch survey. i remember complaining a lot on their surveys to which they did slowly but surely tend to it on future patches. the material and relic grinds are still bad, but i prefer what we have today than before

complain to hoyo, make a ticket, you are not the only one. their balancing is broken and locks people out of content. In game Support ticket.
Just use a good tank and a healer and u are good to go I used Dhil,tingun,luocha and gepard

Both blade and Jing Liu constantly lose hp which Natasha cannot possibly heal and keep up with. You need to lose one and get a defender in there.

summon all the grey beetles in the first phase and then don't kill them, in the second phase orange beetles can't spawn

So if you get entangled you can cleanse it, otherwise it’s pretty hard without cleanse and I couldn’t do it without the talent also make sure to eat food that can buff your characters or give you more max HP and level up your relics, level, lightcone, talents to the max.
I was running dual dps team of Jingliu and Blade with Ruan Mei and Luocha supporting.
The fire bugs are priority 1 since they can disable Luocha’s healing, and things can get dicey if all the bugs focus on one person. Fire Mc can be rotated in RM’s place, I put him next to Blade since even if the fire bugs explode, it should only hit Blade and MC, who already spend most turns using basic attack.
I did this fight at least 5 times until I finally decided to go in with two healers. I used Huohuo (cleansing, extra attack buff, energy regeneration), Bailu (Invigoration, revive), Jingliu (Ice weakness of course plus she can buff herself and is also my strongest DPS lol), and Lunae (Imaginary weakness and he can also buff himself). It was a pretty lengthy fight lol but with the right strategizing you can make it work.
Finally beat it. I had a weird team, ruan mei, March, sushang and bailu. Focused on the main bug and didn't attack the rest, mei helped with buffs and sushang did justice but without bailu healing I wouldn't have made it either
Just finished fighting that thing and after 10+ tries IVE FINALLY WON
Team used: Gepard, Lynx, Clara and Argenti
Builds + LV on chara: 60/60 (Stacked on def), 60/70 (Stacked on HP, but also a bit of def cuz for some reason she always gets targeted, idk why), 60/60 (W/ SIGNARTURE LIGHTCONE, stacked on ATK), 60/60 (W/ SIGNARTURE LIGHTCONE, Stacked on Crit rate/dmg + ATK.) (I think without their signature lightcones is also ok, but it'll rely more on your relics I think, idk not a expert-)
Equilibrium Level: 4
Strategy: Do not use Lynx's ult unless if most of your party is near half hp, use skill when a character is close to half hp. Always keep an eye out for your team's shield, it must always be up, timing on when to ult it's usually around 1-2 characters lost their shields, or the entire team's shield is nearly gone. Try your best to have skill points for Gepard cuz of his amazing burst + breaking the enemies shield(?). For Clara and Argenti, spam NA, UNLESS if the boss doesn't multiply + have it's minions. I didn't care if Argenti had his entire ult cuz he was just their to aggressively deal a decent amount of dmg while breaking a ton of shields lmao- Beware that Clara can sometimes accidentally hit the boss (multiply) when she has the follow up atk, so yea, try not to die when that happens. Also, don't kill the bugs when the boss uses its multiply skill, it'll produce even more of its minions. Leave it until the skill ends, then use your AOE ATKs to kill all of the bugs at once, it deals a hilariously amount of dmg.
Alternative team options: Gepard - > Fire MC, Lynx/Natasha (Tho I prefer Lynx, idk it feels like she heals more-), Clara - > March 7th (Extra shield + follow up is pretty damn good-), Argenti - > Any break shields(?) characters- (Sushang cuz of single target, would prolly be your best bet tho)
Alternative team works similarly to the team I used, but be careful of MC's AOE ATK, aggressively use MC's skill when the boss multiplies

Even if you don't have argenti take phy mc(with optimal break effect) along with sushang or clara whatever you have. I had argenti, the fight was a breeze on first try. Used argenti phy mc pela and gepard. Remember breaking the enemy is main goal.

During my fight he used that ovum spirit bomb thing once, luckily my gepard shield was up...try double sustain if you need
attempted this fight about 7 times before i gave up. whoever made this boss made it WAY too hard.
I finally was able to beat it EQ 6 F2P team; Fire MC, Natasha, Herta, March 7th.
I used DHIL, E4 Pela, E6 Tingyun and Luocha, just when the boss was at 1% hp the cutscene appeared.
Girl I cant do this- My team is Quingque, Gepard, Ruan Mei and Bailu (Replaced Ruan Mei with Bronya as well for cleanse and I tried using doctor ratio instead of quingque but he kinda sucks rn because i cant level his talents since they're locked behind the boss battle 😭)
Gep and Bailu suck. You need march and natasha.

I cant seem to beat this boss. I just hit eq 4. I have argenti and seele as dps chars and also gepard but even then he just destroys my team in phase 2. Idk if im doing something wrong. I could beat every boss just fine before this

@@egoswayd Well I haven't managed to beat it yet. However I removed seele from the team as the boss has quantum res and used tingyun to buff and provide energy to argenti. Also I used bailu along with gepard. Now I can take him down to 27%. My bailu is severely under leveled so I'm hoping once I build her I'll defeat this
I'm glad to say that I beated this boss a few moments ago!
I beat the first phase with argenti blade bailu and yukong (had bronya first but i needed another for breaking the weakness) and got threw 50% of the second phase but he summoned one red bug which then imploded on my team made my healer not heal so i lose my one time revive and then got absolutly folded.
(Edit: turns out I just needed to replace yukong and blade for natasha and fire mc and didn't go under 50% hp for most of the fight including phase 2)
I managed to finally finish this with E2 Herta, E1 Natasha, Ruan Mei and Gepard😭(if you don’t have Ruan Mei, use Bronya or if u don’t have Gepard, March 7th is good too)

Managed to win after several tries, different team variations. F2P, got some 5 stars out of sheer luck on single free rolls.
Fire MC, Nat, Jingliu, Clara. Focused on not hitting the boss as much, just having the adds damage it. Fire MC/Clara taunting for aggro (my Jingliu is way too squishy compared to Clara and Fire MC. Built her for crit/effect). Nat for sustain.
Got super lucky in phase 2 with mostly the standard attack swarm spawning and not the self-combusting ones. I can see this being alot easier with Luocha, being a tremendous imaginary sustain.
New players who reach this boss after Easy mode is implemented will never know our pain.
My setup was trailblazer (preservation), baliu, Natasha (level 70 light cone), and jinglu at max equilibrium. You need a lot of patience, but it is doable. At one point I was thinking i couldn’t beat it, but you certainly need 2 healers and 2 dps. My jinglu died at the end, but I just beat it as the boss was at 3%.

you need a strong shielder. to take attention away from your other units. I used fire mc. your team looks solid enough. Are your talents not maxed out?

i would suggest using characters who have stacked talents, and artifacts. I've spent considerable time upgrading all the units you see on my teams, as well as making sure their artifacts and talents are high to max. Otherwise I wouldn't be using them this late in the game. You're gonna need a unit that can break the toughness bar of the boss. It's only weak to normal, imaginary, and ice, so you'll need an attacking unit that can deal that type of damage. If not then you need a self sustain team that can block and heal well while you chip away.

No. It's a story quest so no time limit. But the event that comes after the story quest with the critters has a time limit. So watch out for that

I failed in mix and match until i use Acheron, Fire MC, Natasha & Loucha.
With Acheron this Boss battle became a joke.. You just need to wait the phase where it keeps summoning smaller bugs if you keep hitting Scarabaz then deal BIG PP dmg to the smaller ones and watch them explode. And check how your Acheron gain stacks automatically and just use her ULT

Can someone please help me with what team is the best for this fight? I'm at max equilibrium level but my characters are very underbuilt. I have all f2p characters, silver wolf kafka, DHIL, all standard 5* except for bailu Welt and gepard. What team do I use?
I beat it by simply not killing ny insects from 1st phase so the exploding ones cant show up, its alot of healing but its better than those exploding fuckers.
I'm using dan heng imbibitor, welt are same weakness for starcrusher: swarm kjng Scaracabaz when i using bailu btw
I finally defeated this mf bug. This sht hits really hard that my first team (physical mc, sw, sushang, nat) can't even last 3 turns on phase 2. Fortunately I have fu xuan so I switched my team comp to blade, fu xuan, lynx, and sw. Although I didn't have high hopes to this comp because my blade and lynx doesn't have a proper build (stats on their relics are mismatched and not suited for them), but surprisingly I won lol.
Unexpected Herta very useful aginst this boss because with her talent can break it easily by activate her talent via attack boss keep it summon minion
This boss seem like Anti Seele because summon minion and all of them resist Quantum made her not effective

Gepard has this ability to take aggro from others if I remember correctly. So make sure to keep him topped up with heals.

I only have 1 team completely built to 80 max for kafka, and its just not going to get it. Please do not pass your eq trials without having at least 2 or 3 solid teams built. By the time I build an entire team from the ground up to defeat this, the event is going to be over.

Running an E3 Topaz, Jingliu, Welt and Fu Xuan, it works alright. Until the duplicating of the enemies draws the fight out long enough to where Fu Xuan can't heal or get her ultimate in time. Truly an annoying boss, these bugs are the most annoying things ever. Questing if getting Ruan Mei would actually make a difference with beating this boss.

People keep using odd elements, while this boss clearly made to break. This update is all about breaking the enemy. Use your fucking physical mc(which everyone have) , they are enough to shred the shield. Also those new ninja bugs are weak to physical too.

nah my fight with this boss actually went really well, im on equilibrium 6 but with a team of fu xuan and luocha nobody came close to dying at all cause fu xuan takes hits SO WELL. Then my yanqing just destroyed the actual boss fairly well when every other enemy was focused on trying to kill my fu xuan. Although it did take fairly long LOL

Hoyoverse wont help. They simply refuse to lower your TB level even if you just leveled up.

i remember complaining a lot on their surveys to which they did slowly but surely tend to it on future patches. the material and relic grinds are still bad, but i prefer what we have today than before

i can't survive phase2, hate this thing with a passion, it's too much damage between him and the bugs... i probably have to hunt for relics or something, also tried to not attack him when the shield is on, that works on phase1 cause there's no skill, but not on phase2
