When she drill from the hood supports through the top of the hood that’s not metal? Did you see the supports throughout the whole underside of the hood? It’s 200% without a doubt metal my guy.

I was cringing while you were drilling and cutting the hood but afterwards I was pleasantly surprised. Like most work I’ve done with cars/trucks. It might seem scary if you haven’t done it. But if you’ve wrenched on anything else and can use ur brain to remember how things go back together, you can do pretty much anything.

@@dnegel9546 no, the hood is actually lighter because it is carvon which mean it is easier to blow away. It makes it more secure and easier to open. This one has locks so it is hard to steal aswell.
I live in the NE Ohio snow belt. It amazes me that people can do this type of work to a car. Where I live those cuts mean your hood would rot away in a couple of years.

I did this on my hoopty after a I rear ended a prius. Proceeded to weld on a metal jeep bumper and a home depot special grill, had a rachet strap on the hood for a while but upgraded to these, but hey atleast we have a supercharger! #ricecar
