I'm working on my newly designed master bedroom-bathroom & you mentioning hooks solved a (too small) space quandary. Hooks it is! Also bought a cool rattan ceiling light that gives off designs on the ceiling when lit. Thanks for the tips. I love your presentation & ideas.
I am very interested to know your thoughts on painting interior doors and trim a different color than the wall color. And what colors you like for that.
Are you related to Scotty Kilmer? You two are dramatic with the hands, but I love it! Makes it more interesting ❤❤❤ Oh and with the corded wall sconces, they have a foam like cord covering and you can paint it the same color as your walls. The cords basically disappear 😊
If you, Lisa, taught me anything it is that HOOKS are the absolute KEY to life! I now have hooks in every room, next to every door, everywhere! More hooks in 2025!
I think the cords from sconces do matter. There are some really nice self-adhesive cord covers that can be painted or left white to cover up those ugly cords.
@lisaholt what do you do when you have a radiator under the window? if the curtains go all the way to the floor, they would block the heating for the room. This is very common in the UK. I do hate to have them up to the window sill. they look awful
I have the same problem in my first floor and both bedrooms. The bedrooms on the second floor are the old fashioned cast iron ones with covers so the curtains need to be short. In the MBR , I need blackout curtains. The living room and other rooms on the first floor are partially recessed into the wall. I have blinds on all of them and curtain panels on the side for color in the living room.
Instead of a ceiling fan try the floor fans that angle upwards so the air flow hits the ceiling and disperses around the room. Mine are called a Vornado and I love them (not sponsored). They’re as noisy as a normal fan but feel like air con rather than only getting the cool relief when the fan swings in front of you. Obviously best for standard ceiling heights. They are only about 1ft tall and wide so easy to store.
I use these in my bedroom and first floor. I don't have central air and I don't have any electrical on the ceilings on the second floor for lighting or fans. I'm even still using one in my MBR when i get too warm in the middle of the night. Also great for helping paint to dry.
Please give your guidance on how to coordinate countertops with backsplash. I look at a lot of zillow and redfin and it's amazing how many people pick out a very busy countertop pattern and match it with very busy backsplash. Maybe looks good in person, but in photos its obnoxious. What are your thoughts?
Lisa, I love your videos & suggestions. I’ve been watching you for a few years, but this weird sped up version of you is odd. Whoever is doing this needs to stop. Your personality and feeling like I’m there listening to you like a friend is the appeal of your brand.
Yes! We know someone who installs carpet and mentioned buying wall to wall and getting it bound for an area rug. love your content!
Thrilled to see you back ❤
Love your ideas.
🤩plants in bedroom. Why haven't I thought of this. More oxygen for the brain while I sleep!
Thank you Lisa.
Hoping you’ll create a video on trends for 2025 and beyond, and predictions for the direction design will be heading in the next 5 years!
There are also some really nice rechargeable sconces!
Yes, those are great too!

Also think about plants that may be toxic to our pets! Plenty of info online about the ones to avoid.
I just love you
A black out curtain or drape liner is easy to do.
Wrong title for this video. Thanks for the rug tip!
I’m glad you liked the rug tip!

So, where are the trends 2025 ?????
This was an oops!

What kind of light fixtures do you recommend for a bedroom with a low ceiling?

Blinds and shades are your best options with radiators or baseboard heaters.
How do you get a wall to wall carpet bound?

I'm glad you brought this up, it's a common mistake and one that I often see in my design work.
@@LisaHoltDesign Thank you for replying to my comment. I hope you will do a video on it soon!
My MBR has blackout curtains and is on the north side. Are good fake plants ok?
Yes, fake plants are totally fine! Choose ones that bring in the right color and shape!
Wait… is this budget update or trends? I’m confused
Both! Lol
❤❤❤
I thought the statement wall was out of style for 2025
It does look good on a headboard wall, though!🙂
It's a classic treatment, never goes out, just how you execute it.

The video is playing normally for me. Maybe you hit a different setting?
Thanks for letting me know about the sped up video. I'll look into it!
"Hooks can nail your design style" was that a pun?
Budget updates ? thought this video was supposed to be trends for 2025 ?
Hooks…… a big fat NO!
ur so pretty and informative? Must be imaginary, LOL good video
Hooks on your bedroom walls ? So your clothes, bags, and towels are never put away ? No thanks. A home is not a hotel room.
Hooks can be used for a variety of things, and they can actually help to keep a space tidy and organized. 😉
Plants?? I prefer cats
If you do get plants, it’s also important to make sure they aren’t toxic to pets.
@@donatella302 i know that/ Do you have a link for a wall scounce (
Love your ideas
Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
