    Just the fact that you're taking notes from as many as 10 games at a time is remarkable. Of course you are going to miss things. Hockey is a fluid game unlike baseball, where it would be much easier to track everything that happens due to its nature. The hard work is much appreciated.

      Gotta get into the playoffs to even be considered for the Norris. Try and find a Norris winner who's team didn't make the playoffs.....you most likely will find 2 maybe 3 guys EVER.

    I wouldn`t be able to take notes, write them on a board with time, who, why, in, out, offside, strange call, saves, goals, penaltys, fights, icings, missed calls, number of shots etc etc in two games :) So thanks so much for all the work and information you provide us with Shannon.

    As someone who doesn’t necessarily have time to sit and watch all the highlights, I appreciate your reviews as I can watch / listen to them the morning after while on a walk/run before my day officially starts. Even if you miss something, you’re usually quick to mention it the day after in a news video. So no sweat and keep doing what you’re doing.

    The amount of people shocked during last night's review about him missing Dahlin's record is crazy. It's easier to catch it if it's the only game you watch, or if you watch the highlights. Try watching 10 games at a time, trying to catch every shot, pass, save and goal

    • @jeffreym.8957
      @jeffreym.8957 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Plus, it's not much of a record. I'm a Sabres fan, but scoring goals in four games in a row? I'm surprised it hasn't happened before? Orr, Coffey, Leitch - none of these guys did it? Okay. Still... let's see how the next 78 games go.
      Go Sabres.

    Shannon, I can only assume it was a Sabres fan such as my self that prompted your explanation at the start of video. Yes, we're a sensitive lot. Buffalo the city gets a bad wrap regarding weather and the fact that it is a small market and not a sexy destination.
    However, we believe our beloved Bills and Sabres are our national representatives and we will staunchly defend their honor. I believe that championship banners from both will reduce our collective sensitivity.

    I get defenseman don’t score as often as forwards (duh) but I’m surprised that the record is just at 4. Like I would’ve assumed that a guy like Bobby Orr would’ve had that record set at like 6 or 7 but I guess that shows how hard it is to score as a d-man.

      So many factors, besides the obvious. This is a "to start the season" record. How many defensemen/players start the season in perfect shape and conditioning ready to play? Today's athletes versus 100 years worth of pros. Factor in expansion. If there's only 6 teams, the teams are likely better top to bottom. You might have to worry about playing defense more than you do when there are 32 teams. Style changes. Quality of ice and equipment. Rule changes, there is no two line pass anymore. The game is much more uptempo with lots of rushes, turnovers, mistakes that result in odd man rushes.
      I'm not taking anything away from Dahlin's achievement. I think it's incredible. Just so hard to score consistently. I believe the Buffalo Sabres record for goals to start a season is 5 by Gilbert Perreault. A hall of fame center. To give perspective.

  • @SalamiCheeks

    Those Buffalo jerseys were widely panned, but I liked them. If I recall, they were yellow in front and blue in back, which I thought was ingenious, with the hope that maybe they'd confuse the other team. But I guess they didn't. In other news, Josh Bailey's coming up on game 1000 for the Islanders, which is kind of a miracle, since Islander fans have been wanting to get rid of him since game 100. His should be an interesting career video when he reaches the mark.
