Thanks so much for your video. I have the world's oldest thermostat but it's close enough to yours, now I can stop years of randomly pressing buttons and finally get down to business!
The most annoying thing about this unit, the builder thought it would be a good idea to default the unit to 85°, which has got to be the stupidest default known to any human. Why 85°? Who like 85° during the summer? Anyone? Even during winter, I’ve never set a thermostat to 85°. However the builder/designer must live in Antarctica, because I can’t think of any other place that a default for AC would be 85°, or they could just be a genius. I’m going to go against that and say the guy that set the default to 85° is the most out of touch idiot to ever walk the planet. Don’t forget, every time you have to replace the batteries, it defaults to 85° and you could literally melt metal in your home because the genius designer/builder thought it was a comfortable temperature. Why even have air condition? Obviously he doesn’t and he doesn’t know what a comfortable temperature is. FYI, room temp standard is 72°, not 85° genius.
I put new batteries in and the screen literally disappear, I took the top off and reset it and I can barely make out the numbers on the screen. Any idea why this happened?
@@Hhheeeehehsame, im trying to figure out how to fix this!! Mine defaults to 62, and when i try to override it to my preferred temp 70, it resets to 62 after a few hours, basically cuts the heat in the middle of the night. Please let me know if you figured out how to change this!!
OMG, YES! Mine is 85 for AC and 62 for heat. WTH? It's programmed to go higher at times but I want to stop the programming altogether and just manually set the temp I want and I want it to stay that temp until I change it. How can I do that? @@Hhheeeeheh
No. Reset erases all your settings, and loads default, including the "Energy Efficient" settings for Heat & Cool. EE settings are too cold during Heat, and too warm for Cool, at least for Americans.

Low battery power on this control was why my furnace wouldn't turn on! You saved me $100 service call to the furnace man!
You are welcome, thanks to TH-cam!
Thanks! I'll try that before I call the HVAC people!
Your directions worked perfectly. Thanks for the video Joy
Thanks for this. My heat would not turn off. Unit needed new batteries to read ambient temperature. I didn't even think about batteries!

Battle School Hopefully you got!
My thermostat looks just like this but doesn’t have the additional words yours shows.. I can’t get it to let me select the time nor days
This is the most awful pos thermostat ever!
How do u set the heater on
How come mine doesn't turn on the Cool it just stays blinking and no Cool air runs?.
Ernesto Torres you should ask professional AC guy, since I am not. But I think the connection might has problem
What happens when the reset button is pressed? Will the stat restart itself and work as intended?

@@patriciamagatrator3843 Thanks. I removed my pair and replaced them with something far easier to use.
I can't hear what you are saying!
After I replaced batteries it starts beeping and flashing. Checked batteries and they are in right. What do I do
Eat them
This is the worst thermostat I agree. The video is also extremely to slow for me I don't have the patience for the slowness.
Thank you🥰
Cant hear u
This thing is garbage….Just replace it with a Honeywell.
Hello. Our thermostat comes with a stylus pen. How do you set the temperature?
Gods Angel i think pen will work in the same way, but I just used my finger, easy!
Hello, how can we turn this thermostat off completely? It is noisy at night and we want to manually turn it off. What should we do? Thank you!!!
Hi there. At minute 1:59. SWING mod. How does that work. ? Thx
rsanchez7111 press menu button, sometime you need to press a bit hard, then set your time and swing, followed by home button to confirm
You must be hot 80^ degrees uffff
Women need to focus on children more and this a lot less.
