    You could always paint pictures of blue and white ginger jars, plates, etc. on the upper wall!

    You 2 are wonderfully dedicated to your home, putting your " own stamp" on it to make it truly your unique home. You're doing a great job with fixing things & restoring every inch of your villa. I like the idea someone else said about painting murals on top wall of outside kitchen. Sergi, you're very accomplished at explaining why & what you're doing becoming an expert. Alla I hope you're feeling much better, you bounce back quickly. Love your creativity & ideas.🧡🧡🧡❣️

    Your work never ends. I guess having more bench space for washing up and more space for cooking makes sense. The summer kitchen is functional now, but when you’ve completely finished it will be amazing ❤

    Allah you've worked hard I too have learned that old properties cant breathe with cement doesn't let the walls breathe lime and sand , you work so hard but it's been wet more these last couple of years hench all the flooding in the cellars . It frightens me so damp and horrible loved sing you're mum you are so like her too and she's proud of you like we all are , they maybe some sort if white wash paint that breathes I'm sure there is Château use it cement is just quick fix but spoils doesn't like damp love you both ❤❤❤❤❤

    On the Citadelle du cavalier channel they used strong tape on their floors for a few hours to lift off some of the paint then sanded saving time and sand paper discs. Might work on your floors too.

    I watched a chateau owner clean he's tiles with duct tape, only needed to give them a light sand. You should give it a go.

    • @sergio.i
      @sergio.i 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      it won't work in our case, I will remind you - our tiles were covered in concrete before we find them under it, they also were stained with wax and oil -t his made a top layer of terracotta tiles totally nasty, but protected inner layer. I am removing 1-3mm of the top material with diamond disk to get the clean material, sanding is just not effective enough in our case, and paint removing is not the point here, as the top layer terracotta itself is stained

    Won’t the damp from the outside damage and rust the new stove very quickly?

    • @sergio.i
      @sergio.i 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      nope, it made of stainless steel, copper, heavy duty parts, covered with hot enamel and I already treated few rusted spots with special protective chemistry - it will withstand such conditions, our climate is the same or softer than in France where it was made, and where summer kitchen is a very traditional thing also. We continue developing summer kitchen as a main cooking area for large companies.

    rust out from being outdoors. check out other renovators who don't put appliances anywhere except inside a dry home.

  • @cliveklg7739
    @cliveklg7739 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Is there space between the street and summer kitchen wall? IF there is, wonder if a French drain on the outside just below the surface would pull that water away. That or dig down and put in a rubber membrane on the wall. French drain would be easier, but might not work. Cause no way you get a digger there, so you'd have to dig by hand for the rubber membrane.
    Other solution is rubber membrane on the inside wall of the kitchen with a pipe to that drain, and then a new hollow brick wall you could plaster over. Wouldn't cut space in that corner too much, but would fix the plaster falling.

    My suggestion add some beautiful birds to your murals in the inside kitchen, that match the la cornue blue. Move the beautiful oven inside and birds the same colour would make it fit in with marble countertops 🎉❤

    Question….have you tried to find what is causing the leak. You may have to seal something. Your work is perfect, but the leaking may get worse. And to do it over and over May ruin more. Sorry to bring this to your attention. 🥲
