- Thrift With Me: I just love going to the thrift store. I went thrift store shopping for clothing and home decor. I Love shopping at thrift stores or some call it charity shops! Thrift with me while I go out and try to find the best deals. With the cost of living priced so high it's important to go thrifting to find some great bargains. I went to my local thrift store to find the best deals. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do to get those great prices!

Thrifting is not about being cheap or depriving oneself of essential needs. Instead, it is about making conscious choices to spend money wisely and prioritize what truly matters. By practicing frugality, individuals can achieve financial independence, reduce debt, and build a sustainable future. Come thrift with me while I find the deals. I love going out and finding deals at goodwill or at the thrift store. Its one of the many things I do to save money and its fun to do to. Nothing better than getting out and finding deals. I love to decorate my mobile home, so come with me as I try to find something nice in one of my shopping trips!

Before making a purchase, frugal individuals often ask themselves if the item is necessary and if there are more affordable alternatives available. It encourages individuals to declutter their physical and mental spaces, eliminating unnecessary possessions and distractions. By simplifying their lives, minimalists find contentment in experiences and relationships rather than material possessions.

Frugal living and minimalism can go together. How much stuff does one person need? Good question when trying to simplify and declutter. There are people who practice minimalism and some even call themselves Essentialists. By reducing the items a person has, it can be easier to organize your home. Buying what you need before you need it and on sale is a good practice to get into. Having less stuff can make life easier. But also get what you need. Finding a balance is important!

To find contentment with frugal living, it's important to work with what you've got. I have put together a nice home by collecting the things I need and want, over several years. Basic items like blankets can be bought at thrift stores, to save money. Even better is if it is purchased off season and on sale. Buy things you will need when you can. This can reduce financial stress. It may be hard to build savings when living on a fixed income or a low income especially as the cost of living is so high. Being frugal is a choice for some and a necessity for others. Remember that a penny saved is a penny earned!

I would send the shirt to Treadup, It's a beautiful shirt. But this way you will have room for other finds that fit you better. I have broad shouldres so a lot of shirts by brands like this make me feel like the hulk as well. I get this so much. Someone will enjoy it and you can find another treasure for your wardrobe.
Yes, having not enough room in the arms or shoulders is such an awkward feeling! I hope the shirts find a nice new home with the thredup. I love the material but it's gotta go!
It is very cold here as well. I went to our local goodwill today, they had a small clear glass bowl, nothing special marked for $6.99, it's crazy the prices they put on things. I love my clothes shaver, getting rid of the fuzz balls make clothes look a lot better. Great hauls. I would send the tops to Thread Up. Yes the black sweater and new jeans look nice. I love the purple blouse. The fuzz eater is a must have. I had one as a young girl. When you get enough fuzz usually like to through bits and pieces out for the birds to use In their nests. Even pieces of thread from my sewing. Seen a Cardinal yesterday pulling strings from a huge grapevine.❤ I'm not into clothing. If it's my style and it fits than that's all that matters.😊 quite simple in the clothing area. When at home we would dry clothes on coat hangers. Sometime later we hung them on clothes lines outside.🌞 Always like that in the spring, summer and fall at my grandparents. During winter we would go to the laundry mat.😊 Have a good weekend.

I like your suggestion to offer it to the birds for their nest building. Finding clothing that fits well makes a world of difference! I would like to put up an outdoor clothesline one day. Do have a reuse store in your area? You can get all source of items really cheap to fix up your home. These stores are usually run by habitat for humanity And sometimes they will come out and do repairs and fix things up in your home for free.
Yes, there's a Habitat for Humanity! I shop there, too, and been looking for appliances and wall cabinets but have not found any I like yet. One day I'll find it! I'll have to look into the home repairs, thank you for your suggestion.

I would buy that sweater with cat hair but I already have 4 cats 😂. There is a product called Static Guard spray in the laundry aisle. Spray it on the sweater and give it just a few minutes to work then use the sticker roller. It will make it easier to get the hair off and a lot more will come off.

Yes, I think you are right about the sizing for Banana Republic. Very nice items but will "size up" in the future. Not every day I found the brand at the thrift store, but always nice when I do!

As always leave my comment to support the channel. When it comes to silk, it's better to go a size up because it doesn't stretch at all. Great finds that prove and prove that you don't have to be rich and have well made clothes. If I'm not mistaken, the blanket would be new around 200 clams. The Italian piece is beautiful. Edit in case the same happens.
Yes, I think you are right about silk, there was just no stretch to it at all. I love the fabric but will be finding new homes for the tops! It's exciting to find clothing at the thrift store, at affordable pricing. I enjoy washing the garments and finding out what fits, it's fun! Wow, the blanket was that much, that's hard to believe! The year I lost power in my trailer, I learned how cold trailers can get. I'm always on the lookout for blankets just in case!

Nice haul Sarah! I would have bought the cat sweater and just cleaned it like you did! Where are you from because those prices in that first thrift store seemed very high. Boy the high prices are hitting every place even the thrift store but you got really good deals. The sweater and the jeans look really nice on you and i love the blanket too! ❤
Thank you so much! The prices increased about 30% since I moved here. But I wait for sales and keep a list of the things I really like and go back to try to get it 50-75% off! Sometimes I get it, other times it's gone, but it's all good. I love to see other shoppers get things they love, too. I am in the Southern Eastcoast area. It seems prices have gone up everywhere. I like to squirrel away supplies for a rainy day because it's gonna rain!

I like to always be on the lookout for a bargain, even if it's 6 months down the road that I might need it! I enjoy getting practical things but also things that just make me happy. I figure the prices will keep going up, but if I can find quality items now, they might last for years and that's one way to save!

Oh yes the prices are high and the "boutique" items can be discouraging to look at when full price. I still look at all of it, and I wait for it to go on sale. I like the adventure of finding things 50% or 75% off, that's my bargain zone!

I can understand that! Years ago I found a lovely angora sweater thrifting. Absolutely loved it, style and color and all. But, my skin did not like the fabric even when I wore a tanktop underneath, so it needed a new home!
