A few tidbits of advice from my wizarding
The phalynx to vanishing combo attack that you were trying is indeed a thing people do a lot in the arena, keep trying it its amazing.
*Please try out collapsing stars both as a gravity kill and as a combo into glintblade (charged glintblade - un charged glintblade into collapsing stars hits all at once and will one shot)

I had a Miriam's Vanishing build that I haven't seen anyone use. It uses the fact that you can access the first spell in your belt by holding down the d-pad up button. First, Have atleast 5 slots. Place miriam's vanishing in 3rd slot. After using miriams vanishing, you can access the spell in 1st slot by holding down "dpad up", or press it once to get the spell in 4th slot. You also have time for 2nd slot and 5th slot cycling this way. (for 2nd slot spell, hold down 'dpad up' and then press 'dpad up' once again).
This way, you have 4 options after coming out of Miriam's Vanishing, very good for mixups. Also, you have 5 slots filled, and more left for other utility spells like carian slicer, etc. I have never seen this particular type of build anywhere on yt and is really fun as a pure mage. Bonus points if you use staff of Great Beyond.

should try the same build, but slightly adjusted to use the Carian Thrusting Shield offhand with Cold, drop the Glintblade Phalanx spell for the ash on the shield, and substitute Zamor Ice Storm and Adula's Moonblade into your list, i have a lot of fun with it
it's not going to work with the Carian Regal staff, but with no ash on your staff the L2 will use the light attack string of the shield while it's offhand

Lol, there were a few fights in there that probably would have been a lot shorter if you used the second input on the gavel
I'd love to see you do Bullet Hell Wizard. Basically, you play for projectiles with staggered travel speeds and different tracking and exploit various synergies they have. Things like forcing someone to strafe Shard Spiral and then track them with Star Shower, using Cannon of Haima to force a roll just before Magic Glintblade comes out, Loretta's Greatbow with Phalanx up so that rolling forward through the Greatbow shots triggers the Phalanx, sleep pot into fully charged Comet. Throw in a couple zoning tools like Night Maiden's Mist and Zamor Ice Storm. Doing a combo like Glintblade Trio into Shard Spiral into Comet with Phalanx up and just watching the stream of projectiles come out in the same second and a half and seeing someone fail to dodge all of it because you set it up perfectly feels amazing, and involves a lot more practice than you'd think.
I've found the Hammer and Piercer knock poise back which is important in close range emergency over Slicer.
Chase, you are using magic glintblade and trio wrong.
Magic glintblade takes longer to launch than trio. You can full cast Glintblade, than trio right after, and they will all combo into each other doing upward pf 1700+ damage.
With good timing, you can set up a disgusting frame trap forcing them to dodge an incoming attack/spell, right into the 4 glintblades coming right at them.
An other fun and usefull combo is to have glintblade fallanx ready, turning your back at them, charging a sell to the max and lock on to your target when the spell is about ready. The swords will be immediately homing to the target, stunlocking it into the massive spell you just cooked.
Love you wizardry otherwise! This is one of my favorite way of playing and watching the game!

The DLC consumables are crazy cos fire coil does more damage than fire serpent and magic pots are better than cannon of haima
First instance since i started counting these where i genuinely don't know whether or not to count a hefty pot throw because of 15:10 so imma just say there were 19 hefty pots thrown in these invasions, since it probably did count from the phantom's end.

Would be awesome to see you play around with some of the "legendary" sorceries, eg Comet Azur, Meteorite of Astel, Founding Rain of Stars, etc. Yes I know they are borderline unusable in PvP, but it would be fun to see how much use you could get out of them! (And actually FRoS is pretty useful in PvP.)

Finally my build
I saw this video about about a staff that scales primarily with Int & Fth, and allows you to cast Sorceries & Incantations. Since you've been building around combos/switchups, I thought it could be fun for you; Staff of the Great Beyond. Pretty sure you could dual wield with a stabby stick too!

My favorite Carian Combo will always be Adulas Moonblade into Carian Piercer into Carian Slicer.
The switch from a long horizontal sweep into a mid range stab into quick swipes just seems to fuck with peoples ability to react.

hey chase, i know last year you did a Santa build. would you maybe try a cosplay build of Krampus for christmas? hes like the anti-santa who punishes the naughty. the imp head (elder) would also go great to look like him. poison and bleed (mohg spear too) would probably be most fitting too along with whips since thats a weapon he was depicted with. love the vids and happy holidays 🫶

Dual Erdsteel Daggers please, they deal INSANE damage since physical dmg scales with faith as well (which makes it better than FK Short sword)

2x Flame Spear AoW (use Endure i guess)
Flame Shrouding Cracked Tear
Thorny Cracked Tear (Replace one with whatever you want)
Golden Vow Incantation (use Uplifting Aromatic instead)
Flame, Grant me Strength
Double Consecutive Attacks Talismans
Rakshasa Fashion (for Poise/Defense, Tree Sentinel Armor is your friend)
All you needed was moonveil and you’ve basically got yourself a Vergil build

My invasions are a bit unscheduled atm cuz of holidays but a lot of the time i like invading between 3-9pm est as i get the best connections around then!
See, I was correct. Chase is actually a dishonest, dirty, wizard. He just has a really bad addiction to hitting things with melee weapons. Every so often he comes out of the melee fog and remebers his true calling.

You should do a death spells build. Scaling on int/faith witn theprince of death staff is goofy but might notbe worth thestat investment to not just wield it offhand. the sorceryscaling gets veryhigh and you can bring some alrightfaitn incants on the golden order sealas you needsome faith to use ancient rancor.
What happened to carian retaliation did you forget about it? Both the spell and ash of war.
