I had the pleasure of hearing the newer version of these, the Kingdom Royal. I still can't believe how pinpoint the imaging was from speakers so large. They really are destination speakers.
First off, an absolute steel indeed! The Nextel is intended as sound dampening, it was used by Celestion on the Si 700's & on the Versa Dynamics 1.0 / 1.2 turntables as well, not worth the effort. I have had many speakers, such as the Grand Slam's. Magico's, Apogee's, & many others. I was lucky enough to take a shot in the dark & purchase the last set of Tannoy Churchill Wideband's of which they made only 11 pairs. I have to say it's been about 23 years I've yet to hear anything I would trade them for. I have not heard these but have heard the smaller Kindom's & can only imagine what these are capable of, if I wasn't at the point in my life where I wasn't thinning out my collection, they would be gone already. To put this in perspective what a deal this is, I had an offer for my Churchill's of 15K, a pair of brand new Falcon LS3/5A gold badge's. & high end Kimber speaker cables, I passed...This is one spectacular buy my friends, good luck.
I’ve looked for these periodically over the years at zen market…legendary. I have a suspicion who the new owner is, if I’m right I’ll have a shot at seeing them.
If I had that kinda money to spend on speakers I would buy these in a second I cannot imagine how good those are I heard a 12 inch pair of tannoys in the late 90s and they sounded absolutely amazing
It takes quite a large living room to house these speakers. I got to hear the Wilson X1’s at a New York show at the Waldorf Astoria hotel, they were set up in the presidential ballroom.
Dear goodness me- what a find - if these were on sale in the Uk I would not hesitate to pay £25k+ for them -I would be like Adrian - "I'm on my way in the van!" - side note I used to work for a company called Audio Excellence (now part of Audio T) back in the late 1980's in a City called Gloucester UK
Cool, my local hifi shop in a small town in The Netherlands had these for quite some time! I never liked them because the Westminster Royals looked so much cooler. 😄
Nice. I aint paying 3000 for delivery though can you send them economy delivery please? Don't often come across speakers much lower than the 20Hz +-3db on my PMC monitors, but 16hz at +-3db is pretty insane!!!
Question: In my student apartment I found two Tannoy D500, nobody was using them. The are connected to a harmon Kardon hk 680 and sound awful, I can't figure out why. The sound is extremely muffled, maybe because i was using an AUX ? hope anybody can help me figure it out, cause I would love to hear them properly.
Good to see the driver foam has not degraded. I had 15 inch drivers and the foam was horrible. Whoever buys these might need to refurbish some of the crossover components. I think you sold them too cheap.
Tannoy just couldn’t bring down the sound of their high end offering to their mainstream up to usd 5k budget speakers unlike Kef. Tannoy high end speakers is so different from their mainstream offerings. You would think why ever would you get a Tannoy until you hear their high end models with single triode tubes😂
Why so inexpensive...is time a factor or is the unsaid truth that 20 yr old $100K speakers are only worth a tenth of their original retail? See used speakers for sale all the time and often wonder what the market is truly like and to properly figure out value.

I heard a pair of Tannoy Westminster Royals, powered by MC275 tube amps. Dynamic, effortless delivery. Truly impressive.
Honestly, these days you are more likely to see these speakers and the Loch Ness Munster than to see Vilip at Audio Excellence. 🦖

Wow, I thought the Thiel CS7 I just reviewed was heavy at around 200 lbs, these are MONSTERS!
Wonderful speakers ! Someone was smart those would put a Smile in any music lover .

A great find for sure! Now you have to ponder the first hour of listening choices.
Now that is what you would call an example to all.

Thx for posting even tho they have sold. Very interesting!
Interesting...never heard of these before. Bet they have a huge, rich sound with truly deep bass. In the right room, these would be perfection.
Thank you for shared , i love it❤
Thank you for sharing, what great speakers!
Had i seen this before I would gave bought them instantly!

That’s a great deal for them speakers
As they say in Jamaica-- Dem speaker dangerous Mon!
@@keithmoriyama5421🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I heard they also had a "Kingdom Hall" specifically made for Jehovahs Witnesses.
Agree Tannoy is the best.
Even becoming a generic name for a PA.
If you were willing to pay the same price as a house for speakers, they surely need to be exceptional.

Why didn't you hook them up, intrigued to kniw what they can do..

Very nice....
Bargain..
Use very large makeup brush to remove dust.
I have a Tannoy centre..
But how did they sound???
Very good price , but it needs a very good amplification to sing ...
Is it sold ?
I'll give you the money. No problem. My check is in the mail......and then I woke up 😭😭😭
the thumbnail _really_ doesn't convey the scale of these things
damn that's a ridiculous bargain, i'm vicariously happy for the buyer
When Millions Dollar Dutch Speakers "Kharma Audio" (with Indonesian very rare wood "Macassar Ebony") sounds not better than British speakers
I would buy them for 11k all day long.
My god i could have bought these. 15k... it's almost a crime.
Absolute steal-- paid more for 4 REL subs last week!
But, at least I'm still married...

My god you sold them for a song.
If someone wants these, the blemishes mean nothing.
