Thank you for posting this. I am sure I am not alone who has had their interest in seeing more of Vishneva rekindled after viewing these R&J fragments. She shone so brightly so early in her career that it can be easy not to return to footage shot what now seems a long time ago in years.
Her raised shoulders distract me, her technique from the shoulders down is beautiful, but her arms and shoulders are out of control - and it's not just this performance, or even this role. For some reason it's in all her performances of every role. Juliet or Carmen, her arms flail slightly and it's distracting. Too bad. But so many people love her joie de vivre in her dancing so maybe that's more important.

Really? I thought she was off the music from the get go. But she does do a more complex sequence of the variation than most.
I love how she also adds this childish attitude to Juliet because she is young and playful, its really breathtaking
