On the first 4 days in YC, different cabin, different Butler, same story- never showed up and yes, I asked for my Tangueray before we left. 😂 Couldn’t let that go! Same- Divina all the way! Ooooh, the fancy piano dinner music? That usually shows up on formal nights, or in the case of this series, every "fancy" dinner, ha ha... it's catchy!! :P
We embarked in Yacht Club the day you disembarked. We had a balcony across the hall from your room (16004). We also saw very little of Juan, our butler, but he did a good job for us. We saw the assistant butler, Ronald from the port side (Odd numbered) cabins much more and he was Fantastic!. We loved our Yacht Club experience. Best brisket I've ever tasted at the pool deck lunch buffet one day.

Jay, you make me laugh talking about the corner bar near the shower floor. It's not to hang things on. It's a foot rest so your can put your foot on it to shave your legs. 😂😂

I am glad you two are not demanding-I would be the same if I could afford the Yacht Club. Maybe someday I will. The only perks I would want YC for is priority seating at shows, and private area for pool/spa. On the Meraviglia 5/14-my first MSC-cruised over a dozen other cruise lines. My prior two MSC sailings were canceled due to shutdown. Thank you for an informative series.

We just got off the Seaside today, and we had mixed feelings on it. We're thinking of trying it again with the Yacht Club upgrade. Any experience YC on Seaside?
The same things happened with us. We never got our wine, we had to ask for robes. (We are Diamond status) The service was so incredibly slow. The staff was amazing, just not enough of them.
Was your butler's name Marc Anthony by any chance? We had the same experience on our yacht club cruise on Meraviglia in January. We are hooked on the yacht club experience though and are going again in July.

They do still offer a different complimentary show every night, so the pay shows can be avoided. Since we saw all four of the free ones on the previous sailing, we figured we'd give these extra shows a shot!! :P

I'm too. I'm cruising soon, and this is concerning. Having to pay for shows, coffee, jelatto, specialty dining, especially for the YC members where everything should be included.

The cheese plate looked so good. On Carnival, I always get the cheese platter and take it to tge cabin for a midnight snack

The waterslides are the kind you use a tube with. Lots of fun and more comfortable for the “non kids”.

Is MSC the only line that charges for shows? I know they have free shows as well, but charging for a show seems extreme.
No, we’ve seen pay shows on other lines as well. Norwegian, for example with their dinner show productions.
Where are the public restrooms on the MSC Meraviglia? The deck plans don't indicate where the public restroom are on the public decks.

This is the first MSC ship we've seen pay shows on, though we've seen them on Norwegian ships in the past.
