Totally agreeed..especially for almost bts songs the lyrics are so deep as themself involved in it..... and he got it!!
I got to see blue & grey live and when Jimin sang "i feel like I'm singing by myself" it made me sob. How they staged it was heart wrenching too. They sang the majority of the song facing a mirror literally singing to themselves. All of the army bombs were turned off and when they turned around it was supposed to be completely black, but day 3 started something where we turned on our flashlights so they turned around expecting nothing but instead saw all of us there with our flashlights on. You could see the joy in all of their faces when they turned around. Then also towards the end of the song each sections army bombs turned on one by one to show that they were finally with someone no longer singing alone and it was just super powerful

One of my favs. My fav line is don’t say it’s ok because it not ok. People need to understand that it is ok to not be ok. Don’t tell someone to cheer up or it will be ok. I hate hearing that when I fall down my well. I just need a hug. Just be there. We will crawl out of it & most of us have to crawl out alone. But knowing you are waiting at the end is enough. The snow looked beautiful. So happy you stopped by during your hectic schedule. Missed your insightful analysis. Congrats in the cinematography gig. Never apologize. You were not rambling. Your channel, your thoughts, your feelings - this is why I tune in to watch.
Missed your reactions. This is one of my favorite songs on the BE album. This sing was also written by V and originally in English. It was actually going to be part of his mixtape that he has yet to release. But the emotions that he put into this song and vulnerability about what he was going through when the pandemic started and lock down was happening. It is such a good song and I was super excited when I found out it was going to be part of their MTV unplugged performance. I always find what you say interesting especially when you talk about the cinematography. I'm excited for you to watch the GCFs.
I have watched many of your reactions in the past and really liked them….so glad to see you again. I LOVE how you say lovely, positive things about all members…..but your natural reaction when Jimin sings is what grabs me because, like you, I think he has THE most amazing and unique voice……then add in his dance, visual, and stage presence, he is impossible to ignore…..A force to be reckoned with. Also love that you briefly and delicately discuss your beliefs….brave and wonderful in this day and age. V did an amazing job with Blue and Grey……one of the best songs out of BTS discography 💜

I've watched many of your videos (and appreciated your analyses), but this one was really great! Blue & Grey was a good song when it was released, but seeing them perform it on MTV Unplugged took it to a much higher level for me. I think your analysis elevates it even more. The emotion communicated in the lyrics, their voices, camera work, etc. made it a truly beautiful performance. And for the record, I appreciate your perspective on your faith. I believe asking questions is part of what makes us grow in all areas!

It was very interesting to hear your points and interpretations of how the performance is set up, to underline the meaning of the song. Just listening to the song, not even reading the lyrics, I can feel along with them (or specifically with V, as he's the main author behind the lyrics).
I really really value your reactions and the depth of knowledge and expertise which you share with us. I never feel the same about a song/music video after listening to your descriptions. I enjoy and appreciate them even more! Thank you. 💜

When a year ago on christmas day our Friend took her own life, it was this song that I kept on playing...
It just said everything I was feeling and mabye she was feeling.... who knows...

Cedric, I found myself breaking down crying during your final comments on the poetry, the dealing with this moment and how it will be seen on history, being inside for two years! So much grief and loss of self and connections. Thank you also for your sharing about your faith journey. I too am a big fan of RM's brain.
I cried when I first heard that song. So poignant. I have so many positive friends that I'm grateful for. That can present a challenge however, when I feel the desire to express heavy feelings. So V's song really resonated with me and, in a way, validated how beautiful and healing those expressions can be. It's truly a gift and a balm to feel empathized with. I love your breakdown and interpretation of the movements, angles and light of this performance. You so often give words to the impressions I have that it feels like a relief that I don't have to explain it myself. I know someone else gets it.

This is one of my favorite BTS songs. I can now listen to it without crying. I feel it is about the pandemic and depression in general. I still find it very difficult to listen to Butterfly. Thanks for your review and your thoughts.
Hi Cedric, I love your wonderful insight into BTS videos and performances. Ive paused the video at 7:43 to write this because something has been bugging me this whole video, first I thought it was a a problem with my headset, I opened another music video and checked.. it works fine so it must be coming from your recording. The sound is good but every now and then you get a moment where the noise gets louder in one ear and then the other for a split second. It drove ne nuts!!! lol Not sure what the problem is. Keep up the great work though, I love your deep dives and I am really looking forward to your GCF reactions. I hope you have a great day! :)

That song is just so, so beautiful and sad, it's the reason i became a full army and it helped me through a very tough time last year. Tae's lyricism, along with Yoongi, Hobi and Namjoon's are really amazing in this honestly... And that performance just really captures the feeling of the song i think, i'm really glad you could see it 😊
oh and just an fyi, i think there was something going on with the sound a few times? like it got distorted a few times, in like "spikes"? either that or i need new headphones lol, nothing awful but i just thought you might want to know anyways ^^

Love watching this with you and seeing through your eyes. I know that BTS is SURROUNDED by amazing people (Son Sung Deok, Lumpens, PDogg, BangPD to name a few). I enjoy watching people who are in various disciplines react to the entire GIFT that BTS is. Also regarding sociological impact of the pandemic, it will absolutely be at the forefront of academia for quite awhile. Never before has the entire globe gone through such shared TRAUMA before and had it documented through the 'common man' via social media. The global population is forever changed because of it and also watching how we heal after will be fascinating.

You are the only other person that I have heard who explains what it's like to be a person of faith in the gray area and still understand RM and the brilliance of the Grey area of his mind.You where he is coming from with out feeling threatened. At the time the grey can afurm your faith at the same time.

I am also a person of faith and I appreciate how you open dialogue that includes people of faith and all faiths and people of no particular or any faith. As for me, I believe in a knowable God and one who wants with all His heart for us to know Him. Faith is trusting Him and His plan in the gray areas and times of uncertainity and change. It is a lifelong journey (certainly a testing one --not the path of least resistance) that is unique to each person who takes the path. I wish you all the best on your own journey of faith.

I'll watch this reaction after work today, but for now just wanted to say that I really love your analysis, it has helped me a lot with my own art (I paint), and photography. Last week I was taking photographs for my art website, and I used the concepts of colours, horizontal and vertical lines, and lights - all of which I learnt from your videos. You always get me to enjoy and understand the songs even better or differently when I watch you react to them. I don't usually feel comfortable with people with religion in their lives, but you have such an inclusive open heart and mind on life and people that I can really respect your take on things when you reference your religion. I appreciate you showing yourself interpreting what Namjoon was saying about "g*d" and your own interpretation of understanding life through YOUR Christian eyes. Religion is one thing... but you are just a good person who had mental and physical experiences that helped you learn to empathize with people and not get bitter and judgmental. Sometimes I just like listening to your musings and your outlook/perspective on life. Thank you....

I thought the song was sad and allowed me to connect with the sadness inside while also acknowledge that I want better. I didn't think of it as hope, but a desire to move past this sad moment. The lyrics are thought provoking and the melody is more emotional if that makes sense.
Hope truly is what keeps us going and so it's perfect description.
