cool project, with useful idea 😂. just found ur channel and watching through the video make me realize despite any design or techstack we use. the most important things is whether your things could solve problems and useful for people.
These Videos are great , it has inspired me to start coding again!! I have been working in QA Software tester within a Fintech company , but im going to get back into coding again and start getting a portfolio. Also Jacob , ive never worked as a software engineer as ive only went todo CS in uni and coding has always been a hobby of mine and not business so it doesnt feel like a chore. How do you find being a dev for someone else?
I’ve always found coding fun! The fact that I can get paid for it feels like a dream come true. However sometimes it can be hard, whenever I feel burnt out or tired I make an effort to get outside, get some fresh air. Always helps me stay focused and not make it feel like a chore! What company have you been working for? 🧑💻🙌
@@JacobSargentTech I work for a company that supports tier 1 investment banks but it gives you a great understanding on how large scale companies are managed such as agile methodologies etc. hopefully I will land a Dev job in the new year! Yes getting out of the office or your home office is always good , I work from home full time so I completely understand but looking a more creative challenge so I think I will try move into the web dev space, possibly a junior / entry level role
Hey! Thanks for your kind comment. I'm building the MVP with Next.js for the front end and a Node.js with express as the backend with MongoDB as the database (which is the common MERN tech stack). 🙏🧑💻❤️
Thanks for your comment Saalehsps. I have the same issue, it’s really hard to come up with ideas on the spot. I would recommend getting out and coming across problems yourself which you can then solve! Hope this helps 👌🧑💻
Very very good question, I have a few people in my network who I think will benefit from this tool. So that's where I will start. I have also been thinking about ways to make users want to share the tool with their friends and colleagues... will share more detail in my next video!
I keep clicking on your channel under the video title and it for some reason directed me to a channel named "Jabba". Any clue as to why? Eventually youtube behaved though..
I know it’s really annoying, sorry about that. Happy to hear you found my channel. I think it’s todo with me sharing my old channel name with another. 🧑💻🙏❤️
Good question, it isn’t straight forward but building it in react helps, you would then want to build it in React Native. Similar to react so you can bring stuff across. 👍❤️🧑💻
Hey Jacob , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience .
Gov websites are meant to look like they do. They follow the GDS pattern library which focuses on inclusivity and accessibility. This is because they have to be usable by the majority of people on basically every device. They also need to look the same across all Gov departments for a consistent look.
You can, anyone can. That’s the beauty of the tech industry. I got my first gig by completing a £11.99 Udemy course and bumping into someone. I should make a video about my learning path right? Anyway good luck and keep coding 🙌🧑💻❤️
Was just recomended this video, and loved it super entertaining! excited to see more of it!
Thanks for your support, new video coming soon so stay tuned! 👍🙏🧑💻
It's an awesome idea man. Looking forward to the next episode!
Thanks for your kind comment, keep an eye out this coming week. I have a few episodes on the way 👍 so much to showcase 🙌🧑💻❤️

Dead right, people don’t care how it’s built as long as it solves a problem you’re golden. You can figure perfecting everything else out later! 🙌🧑💻❤️
im 16 and this convinced me to start making a portfolio for programming before i turn 18, ive always wanted to make a game too so
Love to hear it, keep coding 🙏
Good luck !. 🙏🤞 !.
Thank you 🙌
Nice video jacob👨💻💡
Thanks 👍
Great work ❤️
Thank you so much 😀
Very nice concept!
Glad to hear you like it! Way more to come very soon 🙏❤️👨💻
Nice video Jacob, typing while watching at noon coffee break :) Keep goin 🤜
Thanks for your supportive comment! Looking forward to sharing more as I progress with the product 🙌🧑💻❤️
Man you are an inspiration for me
You can do it! Keep learning and coding 🔥
Looks good ! I would recommend next auth , prisma + planet scale for some use in the tech stack , these go well with next js
Thanks Leigh, will keep this noted. Haven’t decided to much on how I plan to deal with Auth yet so thank you 🫡
@@JacobSargentTech good stuff , what do you use to record your videos ?
Good question! I use a mixture of my Canon 90D and iPhone 12 to shoot the majority of my videos.

Yesss! I’m back 👌 thanks for your comment ❤️
Cool project , new sub here 👍
Thanks for the sub! 👍🙌🧑💻
I'm sorry if you've answered this before, but what technologies are you using to build the MVP? Just found your channel, love it.

@@JacobSargentTech perfect, thank you for getting back to me
Hello Jacob I struggle to think of projects like this to build where do you get your ideas from also what/where did you go to build the design

How are you accessing government databases? do they have an api open?
Yes they have an API which you can use, it’s free for everyone!
Question how do you plan to get this in front of people? Id imagine thats a difficult part to reach a targeted/interested audience

How do you turn a JS web app into a mobile app (downloadable through playstore)?
Good question, it isn’t straight forward but building it in react helps, you would then want to build it in React Native. Similar to react so you can bring stuff across. 👍❤️🧑💻
What is your techstack jacob? Nice content! Really love it!
I use the MERN stack myself! What do you use? 🙌🧑💻

Makes total sense... luckily it leaves room for developers to build products for specific use cases, like I hope interlu.io to be 👍
i wish i can become like you
