Immigration Law must exhaustively review all Venezuelan asylum cases, new applicants, and also those who have arrived in the US few years ago, ..and still do not have a hearing date. This is so sad. Houston is known for violent crimes. I'm an adult women and I was constantly looking over my shoulder and tried to remain vigilant when I lived there. One day driving home work I saw a dead body lying in the street and I lived an relatively "decent" area. It is unfortunate that this happened. We can't speak as to what discipline looked liked for Jocelyn but in the grand scheme of things, that's such a small factor. The murderers are the ones' solely responsible for her death. Not the fact that she snuck out or what kind of freedoms she was allowed. These grown men took the life of an innocent child. We can't expect a 12 year old to understand the full gravity and potential consequences of their actions. I'm sure she didn't think anything of being outside in a familiar area. They knew better and stole her life anyway. Pure evil.

She was 12 years old. At that age, i too was going through lots of mental health issues and having a rebellious phase. She probably felt safe to do so if she had done it before. She had a phone and spoke to her boyfriend. She felt safe in her town. And these two animals came and killed her.

I'm in my mid 30s, and have never registered to vote in my life. This poor girl changed that, I'm going to vote for the rest of my life with her in mind every single time. She deserved to grow up and cast her stupid pointless vote, and will never get to.
