Agree, Charlie happy to be talking drums or music with another musician compared to the 10,000 times he got asked so are you like really old? Do you really not have a driver's licence? Did you ever do drugs?
This interview should’ve been in Count Me In, this is the kind of stuff I want to see and hear. These are the important conversations we should be having and showing the youth.
These days, with the easily available, often very good quality clips on a site like TH-cam, it's like the people who passed away are not really gone, but with you forever. In a way they are.
+drumchannel *Watts was a master of classic rock with several modest kits.* One long-term project of mine is sort of a _Frankenapparat_ with ø15" and ø18" floor toms; Pearl Drum has the components that could accomplish the task, as I've ø8", ø10" and ø13" rack toms and a short arm for a ride cymbal in mind and their kicks in most sizes pack an option for two rack clamps on the shell; the ø14" Free-Floating snare series can take a wider range of strainers than come stock with the bottom bearing assembly.
R.I.P. Charlie Watts. He seemed like a nice bloke from how he talked. Strange to see Will Ferrell talking to him. (Just kidding, I KNOW it's Chad Smith.)
The lesson here is know the greats from the past and the musicians in the credits that maybe don't get as famous ... it took me couple replays I got bart simpson blah blah blah vibes on this one
Nice interview between 2 great drummers. (Chad, congrats on the new Chili Peppers albums. Did I hear right? 2 double albums in 2022? Black Summer rocks. It's quite the ear worm.)
If you're in a rock band looking for a drummer, find a jazz fanatic who's willing to slum with you for awhile. That's what the Stones did, and it worked out quite well for them.
I do believe this is one of the only interviews I've seen where Charlie actually looked happy and interested in what Chad was asking about.

Can’t believe he is gone!!!
Watts was the glue that kept the Stones where they were.
What a true gentleman... sad to say that he's already gone

Very happy to see these interviews, I don't think Charlie enjoyed talking about himself. I read that he avoided interviews, most of the time.
Priceless stuff here kids.
RIP Charlie~~
Charlie was a humble gentleman. He asked for autographs to young musicoans. And I am sure he respected Chad a lot. Pity he is not with us.
God Bless Always
Charlie 🙏🏻🥁🙏🏻
Grear interview, we will miss you Charlie
Charlie, great sound, feel. Time to roll.
Thank you Mr. Watts.
Mr Watts is class all the way

Nice to have this tape
Good Ole Charlie

😆 omg that comment, it’s as bad as Neil Peart and Tom Hanks comments. 😂
The two GOATs.
Master Charlie 🙏
This is priceless now with Charlie gone

The Chad gives us the lowdown on music.
Chad Smith is also there.
