- AHHHHHHH IT'S WOTFI 2023! And we did something VERY different this year. SMG4 & SMG3 have to infiltrate Marty's casino but Mario is his bodyguard and has riddled the casino with traps! As a classic SMG4 fan, It’s amazing how SMG4 and SMG3s relationship turns from mortal enemies to rivals into progress to becoming really good friends over the years, this is one of the greatest character developments I have seen in my opinion.

I really love how every WOTFI, the guy that plays Marios voice is the same dude since 2015, what a legend lol. And meggy singing in the background during the rap part was sick. Im loving how more unique and different these are getting. proud of you Smg4 and everyone who helped.

So coming from the latest puzzlevision episode, I know that this whole arc has been secretly building up ever since the first part of it's gotta be perfect. Mr. Puzzles was the one who gave Smg4 that keyboard, and he used Smg4 as a vessel to try and destroy everyone. But, since he failed, he has been making many anomalies, as shown in Western Spaghetti. He mind controlled everyone, but everyone escaped successfully. This made Mr. Puzzles really mad, so he continued to make anomalies, attempting to break reality. In Smg4 and Smg3 are forced to hole hands, I suspect that Mr. Puzzles tried to make Smg4 and Smg3 hold hands, so they were powerless, given the fact that they are the leaders of the channel. And Mr. Puzzles makes his first real appearance in W.O.T.F.I. 2023, at the end we see him watching the adventure, making me think that he was controlling Mario, Marty, and everyone else. We also hear the puzzle vision music when he talks. All the stuff that has happened has been under the control of Mr. Puzzles, but only partially, since everyone still has their own free will. Fast forward to Puzzlevision, he successfully mind controlls everyone, but in Mr. Puzzles' Game show spectacular, they have free will, leading Mario to escape the show, and he breaks out of the ratings. Also, in Mario's Mysteries, During TV Time, Mr. Puzzles turns on Meggy, Smg3, and Tari scared that Mario and Smg4 got sucked into the TV, but Mr. Puzzles makes them dance and said it was a show for grownups, proceeding to turn on the Bee Movie with bonus features. In once upon an Smg4, once Smg3 wins the fairest contest, and breaks free from the mind control and says he wants everyone to escape, but again, Mr. Puzzles fixes it. In Scooby Mario, when Luigi and Scooby Mario are running from the Luigi Robot, they go to the TV room, and we catch a glimpse of Mr. Puzzles' Game Show Spectacular, but, once again, Mr. Puzzles fixes it. And, in Mr. Puzzles' Game Show Spectacular, he puts Mario in the no-no space because he was messing everything up, then the rating goes low, and he goes crazy, leading Mario to escape, and he escapes the show. This is a theory, and there is no real information from Smg4, but, just theorizing.

I genuinely love how much SMG3 has grown and developed as a character over the years, I still remember when he first appeared WAAAAAY back when things were almost nothing but N64 Models. He's gone to One-Note Edgelord to feeling so much more fleshed out. He FEELS human, especially if you've been around since the early days and have seen his growth in real time. He's very much a jackass still but in a way that feels genuine and more a trait of who he is rather than that being his entire character. He has new goals and motivations and it has been phenomenal seeing him go through those and develop more.
He's one of the big reasons I look forward to WOTFI every year. It clear how much love and care you guys have put into him since you guys started doing more plot-based stuff and it's just.
It's wonderful to see and he's gone from one of the background antagonists to one of, if not my favorite character in the series.
Congrats on a fantastical WOTFI guys! This was a smash hit and I can't wait to see what's to come!

I'm all out of words, I can't imagine how healthier SMG4's and SMG3's relationships have grown over the past 3 years, we all saw how they were complete enemies to one another having a huge breakdown of tensions since the TH-cam arc, watching them work together like partners to get the notebook back into their rightful hands makes me think that they are getting closer, the heist was an absolute masterpiece, nothing like this shows much better storyline as expected, this year's WOTFI maybe different but really surprising!, all props to SMG4 and his team pulling off the work! :)

War of the fat Italians usually involves characters competing, and winning challenges sent by us. This is the first WOTFI that doesn’t do the challenge format, but they still found a way to incorporate the fans, so we still have an effect on how it plays out. This was a fun War Of The Fat Italians, Great job guys!

This was the greatest WOTFI of all time. Things got pretty intense for a while, but in the end, our choices helped SMG3 and 4 pull through. And the secrets of the notebook are safe once more. I can't wait for what's next.

What can I say? It's one of the best WOTFI I've ever seen since I've been watching SMG4 series in 2020. What I like for this one is the outcomes of the choice we, the audience, made during the mission preparation Livestream (7 bad, 8 right), the bond between SMG3 and SMG4 getting stronger (from arch-enemies to rivals to best friends), the rap battle and the ending (Mario and Marty being in jail, SMG3 finally got his notebook back and the revelation of the TV entity). Thank you SMG4 for making this masterpiece.
I'm looking forward to seeing more contents for the next videos (and hopefully seeing Mario again)
However, now that the TV entity has been revealed at the end, I'm pretty sure there will be a story arc incoming this year and that concern SMG4's crew, especially SMG4, SMG3, Meggy & Tari as it is the one who is responsible of the events such as the 2 movies "IT'S GOTTA BE PERFECT" and "WESTERN SPAGHETTI" + this WOTFI.
Mario has already been in such situations that he will definitely return in the next episode, especially since he and Marty were tricked into thinking that there is a recipe in the smg3 notebook, without a doubt, the next episode will be About how Mario escapes from prison.
I'm really not sure about this but I have a BEEG theory!
If you don't noticed it already, Meggy AND Tari was not in this WOTFI but we can still hear her voice in the rap battle. If we consider the revelation of the TV antity, Marty and Mario in jail cause it tricked them, plus the fact you can hear Meggy rap even if she was not in this WOTFI, we can affirm the next episode will be about Mario and Marty's escape but also One shot Wren probably didn't die in final explosion in Western Spaghetti so this episode and the next episode of this arc, if there's an arc is a simulation too owned by the TV antity AND One shot Wren and only Tari and Meggy escaped the simulation. We can suppose that, like they do in Western Spaghetti, Meggy and Tari have a plan and they will set it up outside episode to put it in action at the final episode of the arc if there's an TV arc. Tell me if I forgot something to consider for this theory but one thing is sure, someting BEEG is on approach.

It's been a bit, and now that we know more about Mr. Puzzles, I think I finally have an in universe reason for why SMG3 and SMG4 were never going to fail this heist, no matter what the audience picked. Here's my thought process on how every decision point can work both ways:
1) The disguise is the clown masks, and they get stopped in the same spot as they try casually moving past, things proceed in the same way.
2) SMG4 dancing happens in the middle of the floor instead of on screen, then they tackle him from there.
3) Either they actually get lucky or SMG3 cheats anyways.
4) Their attack fails and they get captured by Chris and Swag anyways.
5) The dancing causes the same reaction as the tear gas, though they duck and cover instead of fainting.
6) Praying does literally nothing.
7) The door causes the same screaming in SMG3, meaning Mario reacts the same.
8) Beeg SMG4 crushes Mario, allowing them to escape into Marty Merch.
9) There's no way the audience was going to raise $12 million (If you can find a link to the taken down livestream, you can see it had 3.5 million views, and probably a bit less than that in that exact moment, so not enough people to reach $12 million)
10) They start screaming anyways at just the memories, causing Shroomy to say they're correct.
11) They go right. That's it. Maybe they flip the vent the other way to show going right, but everything else is the same.
12) Telling Mario he's sexy evokes the same response, and the fight proceeds the same way.
13) SMG4 trips, setting off the security in the same way as Mario.
14) "That's a spicy meatball!" Mario starts spitting fire, distracting Marty long enough for the vault to open.
15) The power of friendship causes Mario to tell the same story, SMG3 still blows up the mech, and they get the notebook.
(NOTE: Of these, 4, 10, and 15 are the ones I'm most unsure of. 15 for the fact that it might be literally the only one that mattered if any at all did, but that's a different theory. 4 and 10 for just being a bit of a stretch.)
If you think about it, of course at least 1-14 are going to be predetermined. It would create over 16,000 different possible Mission 15's if each step ended somewhere different, and especially with the video being less than a week after the conclusion of the voting, that kind of time crunch to animate a 30+ minute video would be near impossible, so maybe at most there are two endings based off Mission 15 and at worst it's entirely predetermined. Most of the video could be pre-done with a couple switches here and there to reflect the choices.
As for the in universe explanation, we now know that Mr. Puzzles' whole driving factor is creating the perfect TV show, and we know he's the one in charge here from the ending scene. Having the bad guys win here would be bad for ratings and viewership. They want to see SMG4 succeed, so of course he's going to succeed in the end. However, you need to pump up the drama, so they need to get as close to failure as possible without actually failing (hence why the Spy Rizz watch reaches -3 in both missions 7 and 9, and why it's neutral after mission 14). All in all, it's a very good way to incorporate your audience into the process and keep them hooked at the same time without any possible way of things ending badly. Everyone feels good about getting the "Good ending", and the next arc (what we now know as "The Puzzlevision arc") can build from there.
If there was a planned "Bad ending", I'd be interested to see the storyboarding and maybe animation for it if it already exists (though I don't think it does, but, that's just my theory).

I think the video was explicitly written so no matter which choice we made, it would’ve somehow become the good ending in the end. Just look at the elevator crash. Neither choice would’ve worked out there. All our choices probably did was change the scenarios slightly.

This was a very interesting WOTFI. The outcome was very close, but we did it, fellas! I am unsure whether I want this to be the new format for WOTFI or not, but we'll just see how it goes. So long as we keep getting those great musical numbers/raps, I'm happy.
Also, I like how we're getting SMG3 to be a part of the showgrounds now! I love stories where the main area grows bigger and bigger over time, so with us having Marty's Pizza and now 3's Coffee and Bombs added to the showgrounds feels like it's just going to keep growing! I'm excited to see how the showgrounds evolves next!

This whole thing truly was just SMG3 and SMG4 vs Mario, as it rightfully should be. Even with the mention of TV Adware at the end, the fact it didn't start or end anything related to an Arc meant this truly was just a stepping stone and let this whole thing feel SO much more enjoyable than the previous two WOTFIs.
That song at the end as well was so well made, easily the best rap/song we've had so far.
This is the pinnacle, 2023 has to be one of the best years we've had so far in terms of SMG4.

Yeah. This season overall feels like a huge improvement over last season. The tv adware storyline is far more interesting than the lawsuit arc and it’s good to see characters like Tari get a day in the limelight. That’s not even getting into how the crew have more friendly interactions with Mario.
It really feels like they’re doing their best to make 2023 a huge improvement for the series over last year (2022) which while it had good episodes and the amazing revelations arc, still had tons of bad episodes alongside an arc that reeked of missed potential

It is crazy to think that the interrogation mission could have gone differently if SMG4 and SMG3 escaped the elevator. I wonder if they would've shown Swag and/or Chris Cringe Memes, and the only reason Mario hijacked the Interrogation Mission was that a failure condition was met - either the rizz was red, or it was because the elevator crashed. This meant that perhaps if enough good choices were picked earlier on, Mario may not have been in hot pursuit in the later half of the video as much. This is why SMG4 needs to release the alternate clips and even what the bad ending looks like - all that hard work not being shown to the public would be quite unfortunate.
That's what fans are asking: To create a video showing the other choices results and subsequently the bad ending. I think "Pray" in Mission 6 actually has divine intervention go and stop the lift for them despite the skeptism.

It would’ve been interesting, and probably would’ve been when they use the watches at the end but instead Marty escapes. The missions themselves were probably always going to end with them getting the notebook though, I couldn’t see them changing it that much
