Ok, so I'm 55, absolutely no one clearly explained the double stroke roll to me. You my friend came through, and I am excited as hell to be doing it, lol. Your holding technique said it all, thank you.

I seriously wish you and your channel significant growth and revenue because your videos/lessons are A1. I'd consider myself an intermediate drummer and have been drumming since the age of 8 years old; your channel is the best and most concise I have found yet. Keep up the good work!!

I really appreciate the explanation on the feel here - it’s way more “stiff” than I thought it was, emulating the same feel of the older drum machines. This is great stuff.

I mean -this is priceless. I'm not a drummer per se - but am fascinated by the instrument, and this man is not only an amazing player - but one helluva instructor. Glad to sub this channel man! :)

Man, thats crazy good control to pull this style of drumming off for a whole set. Lol it feels so unnatural to mimic the flat dynamics of a drum machine. But its a great skill to have ESPECIALLY for a session drummer, it just takes a long time to learn to do well. Isnt it crazy that we had a machine imitate drums which became popular and desirable for some genres so now we have drummers imitating a drum machine thats imitating a real drummer?! I always get a kick outta that anytime I watch trap, hip hop an drum and bass drummers etc whos goal is to sound like a drum machine as much as possible lol.
