    The success of the RNLI as an institution can most definitely be attributed to the lack of governmental bureaucratic interference. This allows people who know what they are doing to get on with the job!!

    I'm really enjoying watching these films as I have always sorported the RNLI since I was 14 years old, which is now over 40 years after watching the Lifeboat at Hemsby, I now have a big collection of small boats to large ones that I can run our pond

    Raymond Baxter is the presenter. Wilfred Graham, ex Royal Navy and ex Ark Royal Captain (as seen in the Sailor series), was the RNLI Director.

    Good vintage documentary about the RNLI, I have a copy of this one on 16mm film.

    Kelly Hunt, that saying originated with the United States Life Saving Service, later US Coast Guard, I believe is the first use.
