About dogs: Most local people in kenya keep dog as a security guard rather than a pet, which imply that people are generally used to dogs being aggressive.
You did have a nose bleed mostly because of the changes in altitude, you have moved into a higher altitude place in it exerts pressure on those miniscule blood vessels
Mile high capital, high altitude: drink lots of water, build your heart capacity by taking long walks. Your capillaries will expand and accommodate the thinner air and improve your oxygen intake.
Dog culture is there but you have to be in areas where that is normal. In Karen or Springvalley etc, it would be common, otherwise dogs are usually kept for guarding and herding.
You getting your suitcase back you're lucky. Some advice to get along here in Nairobi. Buying item in the streets that aren't labeled check first. Phone always in your pocket when you go downtown. Hawkers or small tradersr are quite aggressive here.
Don’t freak out about the nose bleed 🩸. My son use to get them all the time when we moved here from Atlanta. I think it’s the air pressure, or the elements in the air. You will be breathing a lot of dust particles. You notice this in your house that you must dust at least 2-3 times a week. Eventually your body will get used to it. Please don’t worry about it. Healing begins in the mind.
The nose bleed may have something to do with the altitude. When I am there, I do have serious problems with height, whereas in the U.S. I don't. Some places such as two river mall, I was not able to take the elevator up. Amazing
If you live in the high end side of Kenya like westlands, spring valley, kitsuru, kabete, kileleshwa, lavington, karen, and the outskirts you will have no issue keeping a dog otherwise if its Eastland's you will be in for a shock.
Glad you got your suitcase back. As for your nose bleed, it could be due to the weather or most likely the high altitude. If you experience it again, please get an opinion ASAP!
i been to Kampala, Dar es Salaam, Windhoek Namibia, Gaborone Botswana, Addis Ababa, Kinshasa(very long time ago 2012).....and there are few places that can beat the night life of Nairobi on the continent..am told South Arican cities pop just like Nairobi. Enjoy yourself.
Hi. You are most likely and most definitely only going to experience the dog culture in specific neighborhoods. Not all Kenyans own dogs and some who do own them do so for security purposes. More affluent neighbours in the western side of Nairobi is your best bet in finding a dog culture.
That grocery store looks amazing! Everything looks so fresh, unlike the US. Definitely get you and your dog out of that place if it has mold, that was definitely causing your sickness. I had to laugh though when you mentioned going to see Lauryn Hill, cause she never shows up to her concerts! Side note: Your dog is so cute 🥰
Nose bleeds occur due to changes in altitude and weather. I understand the cold season has been intense this year in Kenya and a combination of those two might have brought the issues on you. Im glad that you feel better/look better. Nairobi is lit🔥 for sure. You seem to be having a blast. Enjoy
in kenya there is a culture dog mostly with the rich people and upper middle class, the rest of us we keep dogs as guards so yeah most kenyans u meet will be afraid of dogs. karibu kenya and enjoy ur stay.
Every time I’m in Nairobi my heart rate goes up and keep getting alerts on my Apple Watch and it’s because of the altitude. And yes, if there’s mold glad you got out of there. That’s messed up. Nose bleed is probably the dry weather/heat.
Hey Queen just stambled upon your vlogs and you looking cute with the hair, am laughing about the shots and yes learning to say no will help otherwise the party don't stop. Enjoy and stay safe
how long have you been in kenya? when you left the usa how many shots did you have to get? Did you bring a container and your dog? what was the process?
As a Kenyan who lives in Europe, I suffer from Summer allergies which also results to nose bleeding. There's very good medication (Antihistamines) that resolves the allergies totally.
I was about to say same thing aout the mould. Some airbnb are not well airated espescially the bathroom . the carpet/rug could also get mouldy with poor air circulations. warnings signs sinus irritation itchy dry throat.........

About you nose bleeding might be bcoz of temperatures. But since you have said you have never had a nose bleed, its good to see a doctor to investigate.
Global climate change is responsible for the cold weather in Kenya, about the nose bleed its because of altitude which is high in Kenya compared to Atlanta which is sea level, you are adjusting to the environment in Kenya but with time you'll be just fine.😅❤❤❤
First tell me some how is life in Kenya easy. Or about security .and what are you doing for living ? I'm Alex from congo I love home African. I stay here America north.America.

no they arent dog friendly but there is a DOG space and even a huge dog event. Pay the uber more to carry your dog. I have a mini labordoddle and they think she is a walking teddy bear. I have a two year old the kids be extra for no reason and annoying. i lived in two different place and the kids started knocking on my door to ask if my dog can come out side. I be like why you not is school lol It will get better for you dog sorry and i get it
😂🤣You def partying in Kenya if you are falling into thorn bushes🤣😂 You’ll eventually get a Kenyan liver and party like the best of us. Keep flying our 🇰🇪 high. More life, more everything. You are gorgeous
Welcome to kenya, I hope you will enjoy our country,we love dogs, the only area I will advice you not to go with a dog is Eastleigh, it's a Muslim area, the rest of Nairobi people have dogs, karibu kenya.
That's nice you are enjoying our country. Apologies for loosing your luggage, those are dodgy behaviours they do, the business people who travel to buy goods in China, etc bribe off the airplane staff to priotise their luggages to arrive because they don't want to pay customs tax for businesses or either their importing illegal things into the country as a disguise of passsengers' luggages.
