Oh SNAP! Welcome to Revo 13 family Jake. THE best kayak out there 😁😁. Now you got me wanting the deep center hatch bucket. Turbo fins and deep bucket should be standard IMHO.
MooMoo Outdoors thanks Moo! Yea I looked at the standard bucket and was like...nope not going to fit all my tackle 😆. Honestly very surprised the turbo fins and deep bucket isn’t standard. Hobie problems 😂
Reelin it With Jake Im new to kayaking, I don’t really much know about it, do you mind sending me the links of all your set up where you bought it, Including the kayak? morethanfishing@yahoo.com Thanks
That is a really nice set up! It will in all likelihood be my next kayak. It was just too pricey for the amount of money I could part with at the time of my last purchase. So I ended up with a Pelican Catch 110HD2. It cost me less than $1k new & I got 2 additional brand new drives for it, extra fins & rods, extra rudder, cables & rudder handle. I figured if anything went wrong I plenty to fix it with 😆. My idea is I can build this kayak out & transfer the stuff to the Revo when I get there. But at least I’m in the pedal powered game now. MooMoo don’t know it yet but he gonna sell me his in 2023 🤫 😂
Big Shticks thanks bro! Aye it’s all good at least it’s something to get you out on the water and that’s all that matters! I’m sure Moo will hook you up too 😆
I have a question please. (I'm new to this) At 2:33 you used the term "dow raker" or at least that is what my ears heard. What is that and what does it do, please. Thank you, and thanks for the gear review.
It is a Scotty down rigger. It’s designed to bring your lure or bait down to a specific depth. I use this for trolling for salmon. Thanks for watching!
Hello! I'm looking to rig my Revo 13 the same as you. With the scotty bases in the mesh pockets, do you find the rod holder is not too close to your legs for tolling with the downrigger? Or does the extension help you clear the legs/knees? Are your GT90 tracks solid enough for use as a rod holder? Did you install the back plates in them too? Thanks!
Hi, are you in the SF Bay Area? I ask because I will be selling my setup very soon. I find the rod holders to be fine in the mesh pockets. Mounting the rod holders on the tracks will be fine for freshwater trolling but I wouldn’t recommend it for salt. I also did put backing plates.
Nice boat and excellent setup :-). I have a 2019 Rev 13 in red and love it. Question what is the name of the boat stand? also, which Kayak cart is shown under the boat? Thanks.
Nice iv'e got the same Revo, what size gt90 do you have you fish finder mounted on? Also what mount are you using for the fish finder? And what tie downs are you using? Thanks
Did you install the Yakattack backing plate on the gunnel as a reinforcement? I own another Revo13 and I was thinking about to selling it because of the lack of room but then I saw yours & moo-moo and I think I'll give it another chance. Unfortunately iIt's nearly impossible to reach inside the gunnel to install any backing plate. How did you get it? Do you consider that backing plate it's a must for our Revo? Could you explain me how to do it? I
Hey Salvador! Yes, backing plates were installed. CCK did the install, but yea it does seem like a tight fit to get inside. I definitely wanted the backing plates and I considered it a must. Coming from an OB the revo does have a lot less room, but you learn to adapt and the bag behind the seat helps as well.
@@reelin_it_with_jake Ias far as I know there's an specific tool called rigging bullet by Yakattack in order in to make the installation easier, but i have no clue how it works. I was about purchasing it, but I'm not sure if it'll be sturdy enough for big game trolling. The last thing I would desire is happen is to suffer breakage or or cracking the gunnel which is a narrow& delicate area.
Nice, really nice kayak Jake!! What you do with your old kayak?? Wish I didn’t weigh so much so I can get a revo or an outback!! Can’t wait for you to shred the water out there like butter!! Salmon season almost here!!!!!
James Tong thanks James! I sold my OB already. They are in high demand 😆. Yea can’t wait as well! Hope all this COVID19 clears out soon! Try the OB though a lot of people moved from PA to OB no problem.
Hi Jake!! Thx for the video!! I also bought the rev 13 year 2019 model.i wanna get the same additional circle hatch. How did u install it? I c that it has water passage way.
So I have a hobie pro angler 14. Great kayak but it’s extremely heavy. How hard is it to launch this kayak vs a pro angler? It’s it pretty easy to move without killing yourself? I am looking to go with a revolution 13 for offshore fishing only. Love your set up, very easy and clean. You should post a on water review?
Mark YremogtnoM hi Mark, thanks for watching. I previously had a PA 12 and then two outback’s before this revo. This revo is way lighter and easier to launch and load. Granted I car top but yes you will notice a huge difference on and off the water.
Reelin it With Jake thank you I plan on getting one this year for tarpon trips and Cobia here in Florida. I honestly have pulled every single muscle in my body over the years pulling the kayak out of the water and on the dolly to the truck and back. I use the pro angler for the wrong fishing reasons.
How stable is it in a moderate chop? I am looking for a outback or a revo for long distance offshore trips. I want the revolution but I want to know is it really that stable for 28.5 inches wide?
Mark YremogtnoM it’s pretty stable but also depends on your height and weight. Check out my other video of fishing with MooMoo Outdoors. We were out in rough offshore conditions.
Gregor Andree thank you! CCK the kayak shop I bought my Hobie from installed it for me. I believe they did use the stock lowrance mount but had to cut to fit the helix transducer

Nice Jake. You’ll love that thing. Congrats!
Headwaters Kayak thanks Dan! Moo peer pressured me and said I need a “real man’s kayak.” 🤷♂️😆
Haha hasn’t worked on my yet. I’m peer pressing him to try a real kayak, you know with paddles. 😜
Headwaters Kayak 😆 aww come on...need that hands free convenience! 🎣 👊
Nice set up thanks for this. I’m planning to buy my first kayak and im looking to get the revo13 too.
More Than Fishing right on thanks Jun! The revo is a great kayak! It’s light and fast perfect for fishing offshore and especially trolling. 👍

Fishing with Michael Saeteurn thanks bro! Yea just some more peace of mind. Should be more durable.
Looks good bro'
Thanks bro!
Nice rig, Jake! 🤙

Can you explain what the hull protection is and where can I purchase it? Thanks for this great video on, hopefully my next kayak.
It’s keel eazy. Your local kayak shop might carry it or you can look online: www.keeleazy.com/
Such a cool boat
Thank you!

It’s a kayak stand made by Hobie. The cart is the Hobie HD cart. I bought both at my local Hobie dealer.
@@reelin_it_with_jake Thanks Jake!
Nice set up bro
the fish smaka thanks bro!
I like your stand. Did you purchase or DIY?
Thanks I bought it!

Krew I’m running 2- 12 in and 2- 8in gt90 tracks. Ram ball mount for FF. NRS straps for tie down.

I use the Scotty deck mount for trolling and it has been working fine. I wouldn’t recommend trolling for big game on the rails.
Beautiful Jake! I'm in the market and it seems like you did all the research for me. Would you please ballpark the cost for us all?
Tim L. PINE Thanks Tim! You’re looking at around $3,500+ fully rigged.

Mark YremogtnoM yup I prefer to do mainly bay and offshore fishing so the revo makes the most sense for my needs. The PA is great on lakes though!
really nice setup! I m jealous!

Hi Jake, great Kayak. How did you install the hummingbird transducer? Did you install it into the Lowrance mount that came with the Kayak?

can u tell me how you install that additional round hatch? is it any leaking there?
