Hi Jey, I had CCK install the rear round hatch for me. It’s needed in order to install the AKA mounts. I put flex seal over the hatch to prevent water from leaking into the hatch.

@@reelin_it_with_jakedo you have the video or any near picture and details close up on that area u install? How much and how was the flex seal function?

Thanks for the tips! Unfortunately, two weeks for this trip I had deep lacerations to 3 of my fingers which required sutures. This made it pretty difficult to reel on em but looking forward to my next trip next year and hopefully I’ll be fully healthy.

I keep em on to use them as rod holders. It gives it a good spread between the rods, but yea right now it’s harder for my kids to reach the two rods on the downriggers. I may consider adding additional rod holders instead.

Yup think so too. First one I got tangled up so probably lost tension there. Surprisingly it was still hooked after untangling but I noticed the line scoped out very far almost horizontal at that point then popped off. Second one likely lost tension when I handed it off to the deckhand.
