- While minding my own business on my own property I was accosted by my crazy neighbor. He was very upset and spewing spittle because I was looking for a property marker (iron pin buried in the ground) that is the boundary of our properties. I never left my own property and was just scratching around along the fence. He called the police on poor ol' Chigg!
I'd like to express my thanks to the Washington County Maryland Sherrif's deputies that responded to this call and quickly sized up the situation. They were very professional and understanding. But I have to admit that it was kinda weird to hear that it is okay for a cat to smoke pot though...lol.
There is some mild cussing in the video. He never showed us where the pin is located.

When Chigger commented that he had never known Marty to lie like that, a bell went off. Sadly, Marty seems to be getting to the stage in life when things are hard to keep straight. Dementia is a cruel way to go.
You can tell he has a few moments of clarity here and there when you can tell he's trying to work out what's going on, and figure out how to answer whatever the cop just asked because he realized he wasn't making any sense. Reminds me of when my grandmother first started getting bad and my heart broke little by little. I hope he has people who pay enough attention to know what's happening.

Living in close proximity to other humans is ALWAYS problematic.
That’s why I chose to live without neighbors. The land was expensive but I have enough that if they claim more I’m like “whatever, take it”.
It really sucks to me that a lot of the people living in the inner city areas aren’t even aware that this is possible.

Thanks Chigg. First let me say that my hubby is 100% disabled and walks with a cane. I had a neighbor drunk as a skunk called the cops.She said my hubby jumped our fence and physically attacked her causing multiple scrapes and such. One of the cops is a friend of my hubby and said, "You have to walk with a cane don't you? I've never seen you without it." Of course the answer was yes. Cops laughed, shook their heads and told my neighbor to go inside, wash the scrapes and go sleep it off. LOLOL The fun of life among the unstable.

If the other guy got the property surveyed, that survey should be registered with the county. All you have to do is know the address or property number and make a records request to get a copy of the survey the neighbor paid for...for a fraction of the cost. 😂😂

They used to be called 'Peace Officers'. And that's what these men were.
Law Enforcement Officers look for a minor crime or traffic infraction they can charge you with so you have to pay a hefty fine. It is more about raising money than keeping the peace or protecting the public.
Chigg, this man has dementia. Watching this brought back memories of my dad who died in Nov of dementia. He had a similar property dispute with a wonderful neighbor. Dad's reality became skewed and he sincerely believed the things he said, but they just were not true. I know it is frustrating when dementia patients spout their "lies", but they just don't know any better and their brains are playing tricks on them. It was extremely sad to watch, especially when the others involved do not know what is going on.
Correct, my Dad had dementia and was seriously paranoid about people stealing from him. When he was in a nursing home, he was convinced that staff were sneaking into his to steal his shaving kit etc. It's sad to see, but Marty is going to get worse as his dementia progresses.

Glad that my current neighbors are not like that. My Dad did surveying for the USGS in his youth and a number of years back, got the info from the town office on roughly where the property pins and such are. He used his old surveying gear to check how accurate the town's info was just for shits and giggles and for curiosity sake. I helped him with it, and we were able to successfully find 3 out of the 4 pins.

When I was a small child, my Grandparents had a neighbor that would come out screaming at me randomly for riding my bicycle on the public sidewalk. Good times!
Growing up i had a neighbor like that, he lived on the next field over. One day some friends and i were walking close to his fence to cut across to the woods and he shot at us.

No. No I'm afraid that probably not the case here!
Rather it's just how most of the "general public" is these days! Because I see it and have to deal with it each and every day! People are just stupid (for the lack of a better way to put it) people have become very dumb and do stupid shit day in and day out! Things just like this have become their normal routine and just the type of person they are now.. to dumb to know any better, idk.. maybe?
But I do know common sense has been removed from the general public and now must be called uncommon sense because of all these types of people! In fact it's the reason why I had bought and installed dashboard cameras and things to record the stupid things people do, being it seams that I'm surrounded by these people every where I am and so I figured I'd put the videos on TH-cam plus things like bad drivers being they're the same type of people usually haha.
Plus I was once a deputy in a large county and seen and worked with all the walks of life.. and I'll tell ya I miss the job almost every day, but I don't miss the politics ever! And is the reason why I'm not a deputy any more was because I was one of the good ones btw! And it seems there's no place for people like me in law enforcement agencies these days.. I mean as a good officer/deputy or whatever. The good old boys club/BS and if your not in it.. well then you know the rest!
But yeah! It's people like these who Dial 911 for the stupidest crap and in short, they should be arrested/or at minimum charged with making a false report and have to pay for all the expenses they caused by doing what they do! It's a huge waist of resources and puts a burden on the municipality and the people in the community put it this way if somebody had a true emergency going on and they're not getting the services they require and shouldn't have gotten because of this jerk-off doing things like this it happens every single day unbelievable how many people call 911 for this stupidest stuff! For instance: sitting in your car typeing a text/ watching a TH-cam video on your phone or something like that.. I've had people call 911 on me for doing exactly that! Or for literally doing absolutely nothing but minding my own business and not bothering anybody whatsoever, but yet I've had people calling 911 on me because of this and lots of times! Wtf!? Know what I mean!? Part of it was possible cops/harassment of over 13 separate cases with in the span of like 9 months or something like that and all from the same citys police department! Lol still have not found a lawyer who will pursue them for it all
. Mm go figures right! But, none the less.. the point of contact never should of happened if the people would of just "mind your own business, so your not minding mine" (was it b franklin who said that?)
Never the less.. if they would have not made the BS 911 calls, I never would have had those officers near me to begin with!
And yes each & every time/case was a different officer on the same department. And I have video proof of some of those times of harassment. But fear not of those 13 I did have 1 good encounter with said police department/or in other words.. there was at least one good cop in that department at the time. I guess police departments to must hire 1 good cop in the mix so not to violates policy or some vs like that right!
Oh snap! So that's why I was hired at my former department (but after only 3 years or so.. I was "let go"! I actually was and I actually was a "good cop" no Bs! And to be honest, I wasn't the Only good one there was 1 or 2 other guy/gal as well but now we're all gone and iTs just the scum left. "Drum roll out... symbol crash!" Or a joke in Other words!

When some people get older they don't have much they can do and some (seems to me...alot) fall into the "hobby" of watching and knit pickin their neighbors. I clicked from curiosity having no idea why your video was on my feed. Then I saw what you do. That's why I subbed. I have pounds of silver & oz's of gold around my house. I make jewelry part time & I'm always treasure hunting on the family ranch where I live. The ranch has been in my family since 1882. There are weird things carved in big rocks in the creek. We call it
"Boot Rock" & it's right at 100 miles from the State Capitol, Austin Tx.
"100 miles from a State Capitol & bandits" mean something in Texas history! I have several metal detectors & 7K acres of private Texas land to search... it's right out any door of my house. My home is a couple hundred yards from where the Wells Fargo stage coach cut through the ranch in the 1800's.
The things I thought were tombstones are actually stage coach stops & YES I have found things in those areas! Keep on keepin on brother. I am not a felon like your crazy neighbor Karen Man!

We've been dealing with the same issues for 10 years on our second property. We had ours surveyed and showing we own 3 little ole feet over our neighbors driveway. We have NEVER complained that they widened their driveway for septic services to get on their property. Yes, they could have gone further into their property but I digress. Then, some 3 years ago, the neighbors paid for another survey and tried to bully the surveyors into claiming 3 feet onto my property and saying our fence is now trespassing on his property. Little did he know we had a 20, 40 and 55 year survey document completed and certified, which it had never changed not even up to the 10 year old survey. Suddenly, it magically changed. Needless to say, the surveyors couldn't be bullied because they know the ramifications of falsifying documents, and my crazy little old neighbor had to go home with a whipped ego. And from then on, we've had nothing but problems every time we show up for hunting trips, fishing tournaments or just hanging out and kicking it around the camp fire cooking. The cops ALWAYS show up and say they realize the dynamics of the tattered relationship (that was suddenly strained when the neighbors didn't get their way) but they have to make a presence. They always leave with an invite to come back at the end of shift for a beer, some campfire tunes, and some deer and wild hog sausage on a bread with mustard.

Sad part is... I too have been right where he was and having to deal with the same exact shit! Except for the fact is that neither of us did anything wrong or anything, but the 2 cops that had to respond to my crazy ass person who "felt" I was doing something wrong- is just metal detecting and minding my own business (and FYI I always fill in all my holes as if I had never done anything.. OK) but in the end I ended up with 2 tickets! Both "moving violations" for my vehicle that I was not in nor operating at the time being it was parked legally on the side of a city street! But yes because of idiots like this I ended up having to deal with possibly the only crooked officer on this particular Department haha! Yeah I'm sure.. all the others are good officer's! Cough Cough... LOL yeah sure haha!
No, I'm not pro cops!
But I'm sure the hell pro crooked cops, dirty cops, POS or whatever else you want to call em.. they are not all the same! There is probably still a few good ones left, but man it sure seams like the slime has the good ones out numbered these days! And it makes me very sad and angry it's not the other way around! Take it from a former good cop/deputy!

He might well be in the beginning stages of dementia, I moved my Mom in to take care of her and she reported me to Adult Protective Services for "distributing drugs". They removed her from my home, and she stayed with a friend. After three weeks they realized she was not well. She is now in a nursing home with dementia. We talk about once a week but she still thinks I was dealing drugs. Dementia is a cruel disease. Knowing what I know now, I feel bad for Marty and what is to come for him.
As a retired police officer of 33 years. People like that irritated the hell out of me. We had one old lady that called us once a week because someone parked across the street from her house. It was so aggravating

When I moved my neighbor tried that don't park in front of my house thing with me but I used to be a reserve officer so I blew the gas out of his wind bag pretty quickly.

He might have alzheimers. Alzheimer patients often believe that they are being followed or watched. they also often "see" people that dont exist. My mother acted like this when she got alzheimers.
My initial thought was this as well. My grandfather thought people were breaking into his house, and stealing things. It turned out to be the beginning stages of dementia causing all of it. The police were called multiple times before we were able to determine he was not of sound mind.
@@dogmosatchmo Exactly the same thing i experienced. She claimed that heir neighbours came at night and wandered around in her apartment and stole her belongings. Also that they would hide her food so she couldnt get anything to eat. But she was terrified because it was completely real to her. We where lucky to get her to a good nursing home where they take good care of her.
Or Parkinson's disease. My father was seeing things or thinking odd things were happening towards the end. Very sad.
