  • A walk on part of the Cowal Way, or as it is properly known, The Loch Lomond & Cowal Way, from Arrochar at the head of Loch Long to Lochgoilhead at the head of Loch Goil.
    The Loch Lomond & Cowal Way is a long-distance walking trail in one of the most beautiful and remote areas of Scotland. It starts at the edge of Loch Lomond, and passes by Loch Long and Loch Goil on its way to Loch Fyne. Starting at Inveruglas on Loch Lomond, it passes through Arrochar, Lochgoilhead, Strachur, Glendaruel, Tighnabruaich, and ends at Portavadie on Loch Fyne. Today's walk is around 9 miles, mainly through the Ardgoil Estate, from Loch Long to Loch Goil.
    With stunning views all over this part of Scotland, this has to be one of the finest walking trails in Scotland.

    I just turned 56 and received the poo in the post letter 4 days after my birthday 🤣. Made me laugh you talking about it. What a carry on eh! 😆

      Cheers Derek. I couldn't find an emoji of a poo, which is maybe just as well. Take care. 👍

    Hi Ed, run yout tap for a few minutes and put your water in bottles out on your verandah. The sunlight takes the chlorine out of it. When your up the hills, drink a lot of the local water. The water out Aberfoyle way has a lovely taste & freshness.

    Hope you got there in time, I worry you will miss the bus one day and will have to wait in some spooky end of the earth place. Would be great to see the bus drivers as I bet they have got to know you by now... traveling around like you do.

      Thanks Eva. Can't recall what I was wearing in that video but I generally wear a Mountain Warehouse 'High 50L' (if its green in the video then that's the one I was wearing). The suitability of rucksacks very much depends on what you're going to do with it. It just so happens that this one is ideal for taking my camera tripod and other stuff.

      Yup. Mostly midi on the computer. Only live sounds are guitar and vocals.

    How do you film your walks. Do you end up walking away fron 3 your camera then back to retrieve it again?

    • @EdExploresScotland
      @EdExploresScotland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Phyllis. I'd love to be able to say the tripod is on wheels and I whistle and it comes back to me, but the truth is a bit more boring in that I do have to walk back to get the camera and tripod, sometimes a fair sloping distance. Take care.

      Hi Gordon. Nice to have met you. Hope your walk went well. I found the descent into Lochgoilhead very fiddly, for want of a better word. Legs were killing me when I got there. But we got there.
