Back in there day I bought 550mf same series for 15500 dollars and was very happy a good small row cropping tractor I'm from Australia and very good cheers mate
My grandpa has this exact same tractor and it still runs great we use it to run stuff all over his whole farm there so nice👍 love the videos
I got a MF250 same problem with the pump and the old Cummins 5.9 pumps has the same problem one way to help prevent it is to run some oil in the diesel it could be burnt oil but better filter it good. Or you could just buy a cheap quart of oil and add it to every few tanks of diesel.

How does someone just park all their shit in a field for 15 years and not start it or anything
you've never spent time with farmers haha
It becomes a cost to repair issue. Sometimes you can just buy a used tractor for a couple grand and keep farming.
The other thing is farmers don't like to sell equipment. Or pieces. Or anything, really. Unless it's crops or livestock, they hang onto it forever. You never know. Maybe one day a situation would fall into their lap where they'll magically get that part they need to fix that tractor sitting dead for 35 years.
It's what it is, man. I just hope these boys get that 96 series.
@@mfranzusan3014 an 1896 is a throw away tractor. Pull the engine scrap the rest. it'll cost more to fix the transmission than buy a better tractor.
I'm from Australia and little tractor don't seem to matter when farming and making annually 9million dollars is there are many more exciting things to think about about and do
I am a farmer and have never known another farmer to give up and let there machinery rust away in a field unless it was something way too far gone

Hopefully you get the Cummins case to turn it up maybe you can pull it at the tractor pulls just stock or slightly modified
If it's not too rusty I'd much rather see you with the little Massey Ferguson than the case. It's a better brand IMHO. There are licensed examples of that build all over the planet. Thanks for the episode.

Old new idea hay rake. My uncle used to have the exact same one!!! Hell yes for the pulling tractor!!!
I believe it is a New Holland rake but New Idea did make one that looks very similar

I got a Msssey ferguson 135 perkins diesel never had any problems out of it and have owned it for over 20 years
Perkins Engine are good i have a 152 and 133 are still running

On the first tractor, the Perkins 3.8 liter engine is a good, economical engine. I have one on my homemade tractor.Greetings from Belarus Minsk.
