That sounds like a good idea. I'm not crazy with how the lid turned out. I also wish I had used a patterned fabric. That would look really cute, especially if it was tea stained for age.
I used seed beads for black olives, peas and carrots, bowl of peas, cranberry sauce, and cherry tomatoes in a salad. Love your green olives with pimentoes!
Thank you Gretchen! Check out my video for making a Popsicle stick shelf. I could totally see something like that in your Rooming Dollhouse. th-cam.com/video/K-0mIDmwIn8/w-d-xo.html
I love your how-to videos. Thank you so much for inspiring me again and again! I’m building Kya’s shack from Where the Crawdads Sing, and I’ve used a lot of your aging techniques.
That's good to hear! Sometimes you takes things a step too far but it can be hard to tell. I think I like the black paint too although maybe I should have painted it before assembly.
Pretty clever. I like the way you made those olives and used the red clay to fill the beads. It is very realistic looking. Thanks for sharing this tip.
Hey 13 is lucky for some lol. Thanks for the pimento hack, they look just like the real deal so of course I am questioning myself..."Do I need a jar of pimento olives?"...we all know what the answer to that is!
Thank you! Lots of other food products can be made from beads in resin like black olives, cherries, and peas. It would be wise to add a label to jars of food that are less distinctive than olives.
I'm easy, something I won't say anymore. I don't eat olives but these are super cute and recognizable. My mom used to like martinis. Using the seed beads as cookie cutters, easy. Have you got black olives/beads too?
@@queencityminis not with pimentos, just seen canned black olives. Seen children with one on every finger, lol. Never much cared for them myself, too salty
@@ghoulgoil5029 so if it's just red pepper, I've got some in the freezer, and boxed Mac and cheese. Is pimento roasted or smoked or flavored in any way?
@@ghoulgoil5029 sounds like something to research. I had capers on some pasta in a restaurant once, later got a big jar of capers at Costco and never really knew what to do with them.
I just found you not to long ago and I've been working my way through your videos and loving it. Do you happen to know what size the beads are? I ordered some but they were so small I could barely see them. lol Thanks!
@@queencityminis The ones that you used for the olives are 15/0 size seed beads. I went from making costume jewelry to miniatures. 😊 Great video! I'm learning a lot from you! 😍
I just discovered your videos. I got an IKEA shelf/dollhouse as my first dollhouse and I am having fun furnishing it! I turn 71 next month!
Happy early birthday! That sounds like a blast!

“because I’m unlucky…” is the humor I’m here for 😆. Honestly, this tip is brilliant, thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I counted them while editing and I was like, "oh no. Tempting fate."
Tea staining the lid material might be a more subtle way of aging the lid. Love the olives! Genius

first thought ,they are polymer clay . but you use bead - good idea .
Thank you! I really don't like rolling tiny balls of clay. It's tedious and I can never get them to be consistent in size.

I've never seen black olives with pimientos. I'm not sure people would understand right away what they are. They'd need labels.
@@queencityminis not with pimentos, just seen canned black olives. Seen children with one on every finger, lol. Never much cared for them myself, too salty
I really like the idea of the black olives. That would look great with a label.
So cute! Speaking of Pimento, I tried pimento Mac & cheese this weekend and it was delish!
Yum! From where? I've never heard of it. Or was it a recipe you tried?
@@queencityminis at a local restaurant. I’m really not a Mac & cheese eater, but I wanted to try it. (I live in coastal NC)

@@recoveringsoul755 I think it has to be a pimento cherry pepper. Not a regular bell pepper. But I’m not an expert on it.

Oh wow! I'm not sure. They were given to me. I think they're 2 or 3 mm.
I love this idea. Could you tell me what size seed bead did you use, because I would like to know?
They're just regular seed beads, probably about 15/0 or maybe 11/0. I didn't know they're classified by size that way. I googled it.

Love the ideas you have with filling the beads and baking in foil. How long would you use that heat gun on it? So dang cute. Thabjs
Just a few seconds. Maybe 15. Just enough to make it so the clay isn't raw.
Genius! I love olives! Is there a source for the jar?
