This was in 1989 or 1990 on their DRFSR album before they headlined and before cherry pie. He got the dragon J L tattoo and the song and dance man tattoo after they toured with motley crew and before they went tour through japan and Australia. everyone should watch the concert where they are playing in Tokyo because its Jani at his best and shows his love of his music and his stage presence gives you an accurate glimpse of his personality. He was big dork but fun to be around and always went out of his way to make people laugh. Three years ago today the world lost an amazing person. I miss you my friend and thank you for heaven
Amber Sanford thank you for the inside info, I’ve been trying to learn more about Jani and Warrant. I’m a huge fan of all the music... except the one (?were there more?) they put out without Jani. I think Dog Eat Dog may be my favorite album. Idc what ya’ll think. 😎🤘🤓
@@javtimestwo Kinda. I wouldn't lay the blame completely at those band's feet, though. It was the record companies who knew cookie-cutter music sold well so they rode that horse into the ground to the point when people heard something fresh that rocked, they gravitated towards that. The record companies really should have kept the better of the cookie-cutters going as well and let the consumer decide, IMHO. It was a rather abrupt cut off between hard rock and grunge.
Shallow? Superficial?...I'm not sure I agree there...after what happened to music since roughly 92 (grunge - puke) I have a whole new appreciation for Warrant - not a huge fan in the day...but they rock - good time tunes. Period. Talented, vocally excellent - stage show kicks - riffs totally rock - give them their dues - basic rock and roll tune here - it rocks and very fun to jam to...
I haven't heard this one for a long time. Some jerk stole my car and my DRFSR cassette was in it. This was in 2000. I wish he would have kept my car and gave me my casette back. I could never replace it in any format.
Yep!! Rock and Roll...... hmmmmm.... Twist And Shout? Rock Around The Clock? Tutti Fruitti? Great Balls Of Fire? All Shook Up?....... superficial..... fun..... exactly the point!

Grunge "Killed" Fun, Good Time, Party Music...This was Kick AZZ Rock N Roll...
Yes!!
no-this music killed itself because it was oversaturated with bands like Southgang, Tuff, Jailhouse, etc...

Saw them open for Crue December of 89 in Cleveland. First time I heard Uncle Tom’s Cabin, 10 months before the Cherry Pie album came out.
