it looks stitch and glue. Do you know if it can be built with chine logs and nailed together? Looking at getting away from epoxy

i supose so but not with plywood 6 mm, but if you made it in wood it will be to heavy, epoxy it is the easy way to go, if you do it properly you dont have togo through the sanding and dusty steps

it is just rope around it, and that rubber to prevent the oar to move down it is from a toilet .please send pictures from yours :-)

Awesome! Is this from these plans? koti.kapsi.fi/hvartial/dinghy2/auray_m.htm. how much does it weigh? I am looking to build a little boat I can put on top of my SUV.

+Ryan Knowles I I'm not sure about the weight, probably 20 kgs, it is very light, i can put it myself on top of my car without any problems. Just keep the weight to minimum, the seat is removable, epoxy + rooving just on the seems, painted 1st coat with epoxy allover and them with polyurtane 2 component paint to coulour. the same version from Hannu but streched about 10% in all measurement to profit the max lengh of the plywood sheet sold in Portugal. It is a magnificient boat, rows and manouvers very very easy; somme days i do about 12 kms rowing without any efford even against somme current ! you can do one in about 2 weeks working at night :-) to let epoxy and paint to dry properly. i found the technique of stich and glue the best option. I have tried the hannu technique mas unsucssefull ! just make small holes and use plastic clamps. good luck !
