@@VietnamSteve Greetings from Laos. Don't you worry. Laos is just as cold as Vietnam, our next door neighbor. As an American, I like the cooler weather in Laos. It's comfortable to sleep at night and to walk outdoors.
Hi Steve, from what I see your weather is about the same as ours right now. One exception is that here on Vancouver Island we would be seeing spruce, hemlock, fir and cedar trees in the background. Rain forest of sorts. This evening is the night before Christmas, tomorrow will spend the day with the wife sipping eggnog and staying inside. Boxing day will be with friends celebrating Christmas over supper. Then poker Friday with friends. Fast forward to NY eve where we will probably be fast asleep by 11 p.m. lol. What can I say. NY day we will be getting together with friends again and either going for a dip (or not lol) outside or perhaps going up to the local ski hill toboggining. No drinking and driving in our plans PERIOD. Cheers Steve all the best in 2025!
Oh man. I haven't heard anyone say Tickedy boo in a long time. Haha. My plans for the holiday are up in the air. I have no idea how they celebrate here. What I will do on Xmas day is take a walk and look at the decorations downtown. Pick myself up a roast Duck and make myself my own version of a Christmas dinner. I may pick up a nice dessert for myself and make myself a spiked tea of some fashion. Haha
I landed in Dong Hoi last night. It was ahh, fresh. Oxalis picking me up tomorrow morning for the jungle and cave treks for a few days. It's also pouring down. This is going to be interesting.
@VietnamSteve Thanks Steve. I might ride to the bay in a few days from Hanoi once I'm there. Let me know if you're in the mood for a coffee and chat. I was contemplating a ride to the boarder in your footsteps, but seems the weather may dictate that trek's possibility now.
It is the same temperature here in the sodden Pacific Northwest of the US, and I live at 1,500 feet elevation in the foothills so it is warmer in town. I was about to give you grief for saying it was cold there but, no, it was cold there.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
@@jamesmaltby9210 same to you and your family 🎄
