'' When the birds is alive eats ants, yet when it dies, the ants eat it. Circumstances can change at any time and the tables usually turn over a period of time. Do not oppress, despise, or or hurt anyone during your lifetime. You may be powerful today, but remember, time is more powerful than you. Just like one tree makes a million match sticks, yet whenthe time comes only one single match stick is needed to burn a million trees.''

A, I am tired of Kenyans being insulted for doing manual jobs. I had the same mind set when I left Kenya in 1978. Question 1. Who washes sick patients in Kenya? 2. Kenyans are not the ONLY ones washing most patients in the US? Americans of all colors. My father was visiting fell sick and was washed by Americans of all colors.3. We need to develop a culture of respecting Jobs no matter what one does. Tuumz by disrespecting those Kenyans in the medical profession what have you accomplished?

Marriage will work if you pray always... so has nothing to do with Usa.That notion needs to be tossed out.... life is hard in usa and kenya but one has to find balance Coz too much of anything is poisonous. came as an international student.made my goals invested.its important to work but you have to plan without a plan all the cash is useless.God bless you all ...usa is good just be prepared to plan...I have seen kenyan doctors as young as 24 ...planning is all it takes

Nzamu Lubasi US has a lot of opportunities, but hard work, that, is a must. The balancing act is a must too in order for one to stay sane. And with the right papers, and bring in the US legally, the opportunities are ripe, more so than for those w/out papers.

    4. Are there no dishwashers and manual workers in Kenya. Do we respect them?? Is everyone in Kenya a Mdozi. Is that why most maids are mistreated? Here house maids are treated with the utmost respect and paid very well. Most of them are paid better than most proffessionals in Kenya. 5. We will move forward when a manager in Kenya can take a broom and sweep or clean toilets. That was my first lesson in Kenya and the US. I saw my high school principal from Ireland cleaning our High School toilet.

If one is sick and unable to bath they are helped by these professions. How dare you insult and disrespect them? These people have gone to University or College and dedicated themselves to helping sick people. What about whites who clean blacks? What kind of human being are you? There are white nurses and doctors in Kenya are they also slaves as you put it?

Most marriages among Kenyans in USA end in separation or divorce due to a number of reasons, cultural shock,Financial reasons, temptations, domestic violence etc..I know quite a few Kenyans rotting in state prisons over domestic violence and other crimes women and children are a highly protected class in USA so laying a hand on a woman or even your own kids is enough to get one locked up...other reasons are people working different hours which can seriously strain a marriage...not like Kenya where everyone goes to school, work celebrate holidays and sleep at the same time...I know a guy who married his Kenyan wife and brought her to the US(currently based in Upstate Newyork)wife had kids from a previous relationship..he helped his wife and those kids that weren't his to get papers( a no mean feat) and after all that his wife still left him and started kutanga tanga with jungus...he has since remarried and is happier with his second wife..another Kenyan man also married his Kenyan wife and helped her get her papers but he also got left and the wife married a mzungu man..the second dude also remarried...not to say that all marriages between Kenyans will fail, some have stood the test of time, but most sadly always end in divorce...so unless you live in the US then you wouldn't understand.(comment had to be retyped as previous comment dissappeared)

A Kenyan friend of mine was caught over speeding, guess what? the officer let em go with a warning and kindly so because of my friends demeanor. He was sorry, and nicely so. He knew he had made a mistake but behaved well, and was remorseful. Ones behavior wether positive or negative, affects their way of life in the same way, wherever it is on this planet!

CNA's Care for the elderly I.e giving showers, activities, medication, companionship etc. Most people who come to the USA start with that then as one advances in education they go to other jobs but some people once they start it thats their comfort zone which ain't bad ,it could be they love the job. It’s mind boggling to see this type of naive reporting, for the starters Kenyan economy has highly benefited by Remittances from Kenyans leaving abroad, $2.2 billion dollars is coming from those people that you are questioning their reasons for leaving kenya!! As a matter of fact Diaspora remittances have surpassed tea, coffee and tourism and now the number one source of foreign earnings for Kenya. Kenya is the third country in Africa at the top of remittances. Ignorance is a bliss and it’s sad to watch this incredible responses from media mediocrity.
