I rarely comment on youtube videos, but man, I LOVE this series. Hung around after watching your pitch science videos. Your knowledge of the game, and ability to play organic (not spammy) football on heisman is awesome! I'm consistnely watching to the end of every video. Regarding your game today, I noticed you got away from the dominant run game that has fueled the recent ball state resurgence, which made this game a big hairy in the middle quarters. Magwood ABSOLUTELY dominates when the defence has to respect the run.
@maxplayscfb I have a teambuilder dynasty that I replaced NIU with my team and it was wild watching those guys beat Notre Dame. I had like 3 seasons with some of them.
I think on those RPOs where you have to hold for a long time you’d have to hold A in order to “keep” with the a then make the read. I may be wrong though, I stay away from those plays because of illegal man down field.
Just sat down after a loooooong Tuesday. I needed this video. Ball state has been one of the most consistently enjoyable things in my life right now. Love watching you man! Keep up the grind, you’ll always have a fan in me! God bless man!
You gotta try jet sweep out of Wildcat. It is money. I have found that if I hit X to start the play and my guy goes in motion and they immediately adjust (not talking about just sending a guy who’s man covering the motion guy, but another guy adjusts wide just before you snap)…. (Hope that makes sense) you gotta call a timeout immediately before the snap or take the tackle. But when it works… it’s killer
I ran it in one of these last few games but I can’t remember which - I’m hoping it was a future one (conf champ game, bowl game or game 12) and we just haven’t seen it But lmk when we finally see it! Spoiler: you were right, it worked
Random thought. I wouldn't schedule a FCS school. They are glitchy/weird when playing on Heisman. Like how can a 68 overall team even come close to competing to a high caliber team but they do and do it well. Just schedule a weak FBS school instead.
I love the Ball State Chronicles!! Keep them coming, learned a lot about cfb25 I was just looking for some tips on recruiting, when I came across your videos and I started watching from the beginning thank you for the content I've been enjoying it
I rarely use "X" when defending the pass anymore. Its either "Y" for the pick attempt or "A" for immediately hitting the receiver & dislodging the ball (something that works way better than most understand how to use). "X" or swatting is only really touched on the long Hail Mary knockdowns personally..
I've moved a couple of my faster TE's in the past to WR and oh boy does it absolutely change the run game ... The edges are always sealed, corners are always out muscled by your new "physical wide receiver", getting man pressed is now laughable & 50/50 jump balls in the back of the endzone or touchlines feel more like 80/20's in my favor. Perhaps look into it? I'm not saying you'll definitely have a guy that can fit this mold but if you do its VERY overpowered atm.
Solid week. Good use of TOs in 1st half. How many recruits are you planning on signing? Why aren't you scouting the 3* for gems? I'd look for some speed at WR to replace Magwood.
1. Hoping to get as many as possible. I overrecruited last year so I have plenty of bad rising sophomores that I can cut after this season 2. Not doing much scouting bc I really wanna land volume. Maybe that’s a bad way to approach but yeah, I like to just land a ton of guys 3. Do you mean timeouts or turnovers when you say TO?
@@maxplayscfb 3) I should have been more clear, b/c we know TN grads don't English well. The timeouts at the end of the half. You thought about it on 2nd down, and didn't. You had 2 left, and likely knew that but didn't reference the catch challenge at the start. I'll re-watch the last recruiting class and comment on the others.
Season 1. 7 4* players. Season 2. 1 5* and 7 4* (hopefully). Your 4* guys come in around 74-76 overall. 3* guys come in upper 60s. I'd consider scouting for as you have numbers. If you continue to progress, YR 4 could have 80+% of 4* on the field. 21 JRs, so still room for a big class in YR3. Knight (mistake) was definitely in that end of season video. I'd consider recruiting 3* Athlete gems so you could plug holes as their body size can play multiple positions. Of course, you've probably already played the bowl game at this point and finished Off-Season recruiting. On Nat'l Signing Day, you can see Dev Traits (mentioned earlier). Make notes of traits to put in the starting line up (and helps on cut list). Can't see Dev Trait on Transfer Day (easily).
There is never too much Ball State Chronicles brotha
Heck yeah love the mindset

My fave series on youtube right now. Love your analysis of your plays. Nice nice nice
Glad you enjoy it! Really appreciate you watching!
I watched like 10 min of the Ball St vs Miami(Oh) on ESPN tonight. It was great to see Magwood, Semonza, and Kelly playing
I put money on Ball State because of this series. LOL. They didn’t win the game but they covered the spread, which was all I needed. 😎
LOL
Yeah it’s wild, you forget half these players are real people🤣🤣

We are going to make EVERYONE pay for the rest of this rebuild
Let’s gooooo BSC!

Jeeez Louise I didn’t know that was the expectation
