Sideways has become one of my favorite DC hero! I love the whole idea of him figuring out his powers as we read along to the story. While reading Dark Night: Metal they showed a sneak peek, per-say, of the first chapter of Sideways and instantly became hooked!

Rhys Causon I think that him coming up with names beginning with 'H' was very obviously put on. One thing I don't like about this channel is how he pretends to know things like he hasn't looked it up and taken notes. Especially obvious when he says stuff like "I wanna say it was issues 134 and 135 of Hickman's run".
Yeah, I understand that he wants this to be like a conversation, and he also wants to be the encyclopedia of all things comics, but it does rub some of us the wrong way. I expected him to mature with time in that regard but I suppose we will see.

Go read Multiversity!!! You'll get a description of each of the 52 universes, though some of them are undiscovered, but anyways its a great read if you enjoy DC comics.

I gotta say, I really like this character. At first I was skeptical about this "New Age of Heroes" DC was doing, since it just seemed to be DC's take on Marvel heroes, but the way you described it, connecting it to how Marvel themselves really don't seem to care much anymore, which even I've noticed, I actually find this to be really cool. I found the concept of Sideways cool and engaging, and I would actually be really happy to see him meet the new Young Justice in the future (which, come on, you know they have to do. Young Justice is dimension hopping, and they are now more popular than the Teen Titans. It's gotta happen).

We don't know WHAT it is, we THINK we know what it is, but we really have NO idea at all as to the actual nature of it at all, we think it's like a symbiote, but it might be something else altogether, that's all I got to say about it.
I'm so glad they made this superhero,they set up everything right specially his family. A lot to work with for the future of this comic.

I loved Damage so much, and LOVE DC is making NEW HEROES, and they are actually COOL and INTERESTING.
I love the old school hereos - Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Wolverine....But i WANT LEGITIMATE NEW HEROES.

I feel like marvel doesn't need new heroes though, feel like the issue with marvel is that their writing and stories downgraded considerably over the last couple years. Marvel be better off just focusing more in stories, and bringing some love to older characters. Do something with Blue marvel, Ms. America, Sentry, Hyperion, valkyrie, blade, and new characters like Angela and voyager. Bring them into the spotlight, write some interesting stories and Marvel be back to being DC top competition in comics

You could say visually Sideways has a touch of Spider-man....but so does Deadpool...and several other characters in BOTH companies.

I don't know if you actually read his comic, but the authors literally make a riff on the 'with great power' speech. It is not an accident that he is similar to Spider-man, it was intentional. Still a fun comic.
By the way, Deadpool was also an intentional riff of Deathstroke and is admitted to be by the creator. It's one thing to like a character, but don't get mad when people are comparing the character to what the authors literally admit they are ripping off.

The New Age of Heroes invokes a lot of Marvel Comics concepts. Marvel should fire back by reinvigorating Squadron Supreme.
Tony Gomez Well since Spiderman is a copy of DC's Tarantula, FF copied Challengers of the Unknown, Elongated Man and Invisible Kid, it is only fair.
Everytime they bring back the squad they get rid of them again. I like them personally but marvel never let's them breath

Tyler Wilson the challengers of the unknown were a group of adventurers created by Jack Kirby who later co-created the fantastic four with Stan Lee. They were kind of a prototype for the fantastic four.
