- Fix for the Windows 11 Clone Prolific / USB to Serial Adapters, "Contact your Supplier" Error.
Noticed I wasn't the only one to come across this so thought I would make a quick video.
So far this is the only video that has helped me solve my problem. THANK YOU!

Had to extract the .cab with 7zip, otherwise some files were not correctly extracted. Works perfect, thanks !

Thanks! This worked. I can finally use Meter View on my Windows 11 laptop.
I can’t get mine to follow the same path. The same options don’t pop up once I select one of the drivers on the Windows store.

How do you extract the files to a new file? I'm computer illiterate and need a serial driver for work, I'm self employed and do not have an IT staff

Hey john! I am encountering an error while trying to follow these steps with the latest update of windows 11. When attempting to install the driver it says "Windows found drivers for your device but there was an error while attempting to install them" The system cant find the file specified" If you have any pointers I would greatly appreciate it :)
I was able to find another driver on a dodgy website from 2015. This managed to work instead :)
@@jycannel4626 haven't seen that one but yeah, a slightly different version, or a restart would probably do the trick, glad you got it sorted, all be it through less-than-ideal means :)
As someone else commented: It might be a problem with the files not extracting properly. Try using 7zip to extract from the cab file and it should work. (I know this is an old comment, but maybe it helps someone else)

I already did this nothing happened keep telling me "Windows found drivers for ur device but encountered an error while attempting to install them" The system cannot find the files specified" that the message I get
I got the same message. Tried a veriety of drivers and could not get it to work.

Hey Ron, Yeah, it should be all good. I just tested it, but as it's using a newer .au extension might not be recognised by some providers. I'll send you an email from my Hotmail.
