I was so glad she sang the high note at the end. I think that is probably what I anticipate and look forward to the most when Julie Andrews sang it in the movie. :) Good job
the entire group did a wonderful job with this. Orietta R, that's a name worth remembering, an amazing singer. I was so well entertained by this, I wish to see this group perform a lot more musicals.
+stanibol Thanks for watching TKA's The Sound of Music. We agree that Orietta is an incredible talent! To see more of her performances at TKA: th-cam.com/play/PLzvdeRjhZpVnLf69flJiVRg6BCg7GATi_.html .
+The King's Academy, WPB, FL incredibly gifted singer is Orietta, and I only just discovered her. Just listened to her with Phantom of the Opera, nothing short of amazing.
The king’s academy version of the sound of music is simply awesome and orietta regalado is the perfect Maria Rainer from tka and she has a lovely voice for a iconic role of a lifetime
Oh my goodness the lady who played maria is amazing. She is beautiful and her voice is also beautiful its SO HARD NOT TO BE LIKE "OML I LOVE YOU" in the crowd
+Theatre Disnerd Thanks for your question. Yes, Orietta Regalado played both Maria and Christine. She has since graduated from The King's Academy and is now studying at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music.
ThankYou all girls and boys for making me feel exactly how I interpreted the words and why. I felt your delivery and understanding in my heart. It feels so warm and welcoming. A big applause and hug and kisses goes out to you from me. Hello☺ to the lady that plays Maria superb singing at the end that reminds me of the inspiring high octave range of Julie Andrews and you. Julie Andrews and the movie nourished me and was healthy for my wicked childhood.
Hermoso, muy hermoso, ver y escuchar mi canción favorita de The Sound of Music por esos bellos y talentosos jóvenes. Mis felicitaciones y gracias por compartir ese bello recuerdo
So many people are commenting that they’re in the sound of music right now and it feels like TOO many people are in it and I feel like some of them are Lying to you
Thousands of theatre's put on the Sound of Music every year. They probably just needed to get a feel if what they're going to be performing. I know I would do the same thing.
Limlrumerl - It’s supposed to easily pick up the sound the actors are producing. it would look much weirder if they were holding actual microphones so they use smaller ones attached to their face to make it easier and more concealed
Great job! Although, I do wonder whenever I watch these, none of the people who play Maria. Don’t try to speak like Julie Andrews with accent. Now, I fully understand that it’s like super hard to try that. But when I played Mary Poppins, I was able to pull it off and I sounded like her...
Wow when you think about it this was very well thought out very talented the sequence was Sublime you can see how much hard work has gone into this performance take note Rihanna or the likes of :)
I'm only familiar with the 1965 movie adaptation of Do Re Mi. Is there a reason why 'Maria' extends (sorry I don't know the correct term) certain notes? For example 'a drop of gold suuuuuuuuuuuun' or 'a long long way to ruuuuuuuuuuuuun.' After listening to Julie Andrew's version this version just sounds a little weird. For example Julie sings it naturally while this version it's more about showmanship. Still one of my favorite songs in the movie though. Other than that the performance was good.
Thanks for the question, Nick. Close, but Chris Pappas played Willy Wonka. He's also recently starred on King's main stage as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast and Peter in Peter and the Starcatcher!
Music is the most beautiful thing gifted to Mankind.

Is she Julie Andrews?
@Senyora Santibañez No one can surpass Julie Andrews as a role of Maria on earth.
