I own OneOdio Pro 50 and JBL Tune 710BT headphones and right now you can get the JBL for $39 on sale (black friday) they have a much more balanced sound than the Pro 50 especially with the midrange & upper end frequencies while still having a good amount of deep clean sounding bass, but if you're a bass head that likes to crank up the music a lot then you may prefer the Pro 50 as they can pump out pretty intense bass.

Yes I have tested it without a dac or amplifier and it's loud. If I turn up the win volume to 100 and it becomes a tiny phone speaker from the 90s. I mean can hear everything without wearing it/ bringing it close to my ears.
Metal sounds are great for the price. Definitely there are better but under 4k it's one of the best. Although everything needs tuning. By default it has a balanced profile.

I haven't used the pro30 yet. But personally I don't think there's a big difference. I chose the pro50 because on paper it was looking really good and when I got my hands on it, it did meet my expectations.
