+ProjectIdiot Yes, I also loved the sound of that alto. So, who knows what kind of setup he uses?
      Please?

Ah, thank you. BTW, you're all great - a fine example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. I shall pass this fact on to my alto friend - he's looking for one to replace his stolen Gewerztraminer, ...., oops no, ..., his Keilwerth alto sax.

I love Grieg's music. And, this performance just blew my mind. I play tenor saxophone in an American concert band. We also have a sax quartet, though not in a league with this. These young people are just wonderful. Congratulations on a terrific performance.

I'm absolutely loving the tone of this quartet. It seems you all have the same concept of tone color for classical saxophone; it really shows!

I can't stop listening to this. It really changed my mind and made me respect your instruments a lot more. Fantastic sound and arrangement.

Hurrah! What a wonderful performance! Dear performers! I wish you all the best to perform well in more and more pieces like this. When all the four of you simultaneously play it gives the effect of playing melody with addition of three more notes to make chords by using both of our hands on foot-pumped harmonium which is otherwise known as reed organ. I like such effects

Peter's alto sounds as pure as I've ever heard. Is it a Selmer Kookaburra, perhaps?

sometimes the saxophone should just maybe stick to jazz… sounds like a cartoon soundtrack….

Timothy; I’m a retired band teacher and band teacher. This quartet has some strong moments but frequently reverts to enthusiastic over blowing that I find a bit cartoonish, reminiscent of earlier quarters that did dress in clown costumes. There are better quartets out there that may or may not change your mind about classical sax.
