I see it in a different way. Thanks to those metal-interpreters of today, metalers get a glimpse of the geniuses behind it (the classic music and the composers). Its not a accident, that for example moonlight sonatas and others are composed for piano, and not for other instruments (even if its possible to "transate" ) . But with every translation, parts of the intention get lost. An e-guitar for example only can be loud. So its impossible to play quiet-to-loud-dynamics on e-guitar. It can play softly, our souly, or varied in the sound - but thats not enough to get what the composer was think of. I know nowadays its a sacrilege to say critics about the boundaries of metal-music. Nowadays, metal-music counts as god of music. So its not easy to explain what i mean. And yes, i know: back then 18. century there was no e-guitars, so its clear, that no composer could compose for this instrument. But the best way how to imagine what i mean is : there was already organs invented. Also organs are uncapable of playing dynamics. So also with organs it would be impossible to play the whole spectrum of a piano-composition, as it was intented (at least if the composer knows how to use the full expression of the instrument for what he is composing for - and for example Beethoven knows the piano and his capabilities as no other one (maybe Chopin comes close to it)). Metal-Interpretations of classical music is not other as a feasibility study and proof of virtuosity of the e-guitar-player. Nothing more. Yes he put his musical soul also into it - but he is limited by the capabilities of the e-guitar himself. And as it seems: even the metal-guitar-player isnt recognize this, because its "to cool" how it sounds \M/
***** Yes i heard of Brian May. Im not sure, wether you mean the same as me, when we speak of "dynamic". It doesnt mean a "soft-to-hard-transition", but also means quiet-to-loud-transitions. The e-guitar-dezibel-level stays the same, like an organ. For beginners to tell what i mean, thats the reason why also in my first posting mentioned the organ-example.
The distortion compresses the sounds so much that it sounds like a flat 2-dimensional MIDI synth. As the distortion (gain) goes up, the dynamics go down.
An organ can play with dynamics. Part of the organ, the Great or main division of pipes has a fixed volume per stop used, by adding or subtracting stops the volume changes. Almost all pipe organs also have a swell division, sets of pipes in a room that has an apperture with louvres, these can be gradually opened or closed by means of a pedal by the organ player, and so he has a means of controling the volume without the need to change the stops he uses. The point with playing music written for piano or organ on a guitar is the amount of voices. Normaly guitar music is written in one voice, piano has 2 (left and right hand), organ has 3 (both hands, and the feet for bas) So you will use 2 or 3 guitar players or dub the tracks in a recording. A very good guitar player (Like Viossy) can produce 2 voices on the guitar with tapping, as long as both voices are within the lowest and highest octaves that you can play on a guitar. However in this interpretation a bas guitar is used for the low voice. And yes, you can play an e-guitar dynamical. depends on the settings and effects you use.
Love the concept of showing kids just what a musical treasure trove exists in the forgotten music from the past and bringing it to modern rock. Bridges the generations and centuries. Timeless stuff.
Incredible performance! Thank you! Seeing Mozart played on an electric guitar makes it so you can really notice how incredibly ORIGINAL Mozart(and Beethoven!)was(and still is to this day!). If Mozart were a current heavy metal guitarist, he would be astonishing in his constant ability to avoid the usual cliches and find accessible fun music in odd corners of sonic possibility. You don't see any other writers exploring those rich and utterly beautiful and exciting territories of sound. Amazing Amadeus! Thumbs up, Dr. Viossy! Thank you!
I just played this song in a piano recital, and have used this movement in my auditions to enter in to the music schools around texas. I must say that I really enjoyed this performance. (I also played along on my piano, and I had too much fun). This has completely made my week! \m/
@@Piriguin_inversor Yeah mate you're "right"; but sometimes I feel that "asian" fellas are just copy and paste of the stuff and not re-arranging something or creating new stuff to be honest don't get me wrong... I feel that asians can make someting new than just viralizing playing arrangings or someone else or just copy paste covers.
The first time i listened to it, i felt like it wasn't as good as the beethoven moonlight cover... but as i keep listening to it continues to grow on me, outside of your pure virtuosity i think you also have a talent on how to translate from piano to electric guitar so that it keeps coherence and melody. I hope you make more of these classical covers, i'd buy an album. Bravo maestro.
Dr. V, This is absolutely fantastic!! I love the way classical meets metal in your brilliant and blazing performance!! You are truly a remarkable musician! Always a great pleasure to see a true virtuoso at work!!! Yeah!!! BRAVO!!! You rock!! I wouldn't be surprised if that guitar of yours burst into flame! ~Jackie
+Flood Which in turn is because the guitar and bass are instruments invented in Europe during the musical "common practice era," i.e., instruments invented to play classical music. I don't think that's the only reason why classical and metal music fuse well--I think it has to do with the musicians' respective views on music. Both metalheads and classical enthusiasts enjoy the formal (in the sense of "form/shape", not "sophistication") and virtuosic aspects of music.
pondrthis1 Actually, the only people thinking "virtuosity is the greatest thing musically" usually don't know shit about music, ans stick to the big names. The real music fans i've met usually dismiss extreme virtuosity in modern music. (and they're often right).
Flood There's a difference between "virtuosity is the greatest thing"/"extreme" virtuosity and being able to appreciate someone's technical skills instead of their T&A. The target audience of most modern music knows too little about music to even *evaluate* technical skill. Only beyond that level do I agree with you: the next step up from the layperson is the "poser", who overcompensates for their lack of familiarity with music by gushing over what they can readily identify as virtuosic.
I'm not sure if you'll ever read this and I doubt you would even consider taking requests, but regardless, I would love to hear Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No.2, Chopin's 'Hero' Op53, and Rachmaninoff Op23 No.5 translated to electric guitar. They are among my favourite pieces.
Ive been following the good Dr. and his band Absynth Aura for some time now.. Im always excited to see a new video and Im always amazed at the strength he displays for those blazing legato runs. Incredible playing all around..This is the work of a true Virtuoso and inspiration to all musicians.
i've been following Your videos since the first 24th caprice for electric Guitar ... and as you Know i'm still working on the 3rd mov of sonata moonlight , and i'm always watching your videos , you are such an amazing inspiration , you make me love more more classical Music and i just want to make some great arrangement Like Yours in the future , thank You bro ,and keep sharing such Videos , You are amazing man
That was really cool, man! Usually that shred stuff is boring, because all of the shred guys play the same stuff and style. But that was wayyyyys above ;). Nice selected peace and perfetly done! Great!!!

I put this on to teach my autistic toddler to use headphones. We both love it. Thank you. You helped people in ways you probably never imagined.
These classical composers were the real ogs of metal

Whitten Method but its not forgotten!
I learned to appreciate Classical musing by growing up with bugs bunny and other classic cartoons. Modern cartoons are all shit with shit music.

This is so rock!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Also, I hope I speak for everyone when I say these classical covers are astounding and that we want more!
Classical and Metal fuse very well. You sir are a virtuoso.
Jose Hi Jose. You told everything! But, Classical iiisss Metal, when the composer want it... lol
Jose The only reason behind that is because the scale between the guitar/bass and the piano/violin/etc... sound the same
