    I'm so happy I listened to this clip. I'm recovering from surgery and have been considering dropping 15 pounds too.

    I work in ortho (and granted sports isn’t quite my specialty) but depending on the surgeon and how conservative/liberal they are, a patient could be restricted for up to a year before being allowed to return to full activity when it’s an ACL repair. There is a significant risk for re-injury if not fully recovered and even is at an increased risk moving forward because it was injured to begin with. And as an adult, they’re not going to heal as quickly as a kid with an ACL injury.

    I’m confused on how he’s not allowed to run but he’s running a 5X5 program

      You can squat at 6 months post ACL. You can jog in a straight line but usually can't cut/change direction or decelerate very quickly from a sprint until fully healed.

      But also yeah... a 5x5 is not the way to go.
