  • I'm back....on a 2019 CRF250RX. The last time I rode a bike was the last VCHSS race Oct 2019. I picked this bike up used from a friend and was able to get 6hrs of seat time before this race. I was definitely out of shape....I had been Cycling at Zoomcville.com over the winter but my upper body was just not where it needed to be. I got the holeshot, and made very few mistakes, but I wasn't able to ride hard for long. Overall the Honda did well. I'm still getting used to how hard the clutch pull is combined with the ease of stalling at slow speed.
    Next:
    49/13 sprocket setup from Fly Racing
    Shinko Fatty Front and 525 Cheater rear tires
    Tubliss System front and back
    Service my forks
    Cheers!

    Thanks!

    what is this foreign brown dirt land with no rocks.. looks amazing! Most of our local events are black dirt very rocky old coal mine stuff. Im considering the RX to replace my Beta 300 that I sold begrudgingly. I would probably just end up valving it for Northeast woods riding. This was fun to watch, thanks

      HAHA....Yeah soil is definitely different. I went back to a 300 two stroke. The 4 stroke was not suited for the tight, technical stuff.

    Do yourself a favor and get the Hinson MOMENTUM clutch basket. it is better then a flywheel weight. It seriously helped eliminate the low rpm stalling on my CRF450. They make a Hydraulic clutch kit for your bike- works great. If you want to get a easier clutch pull on the cheap=Moose racing EZ clutch perch and lever.. Nice ride!

      Too late LOL... I bought a 2020 Husqvarna TX300i because it doesn't need to be modified for the type of riding I enjoy. However, if I was in love with the brand and i couldn't make a switch I would definitely would have installed a hydraulic clutch and a lever. I already had a full Hinson Clutch with the momentum basket in this bike. Thanks for watching and the suggestions!!

    Love the video man! How come you wouldn’t recommend the rx for enduro riding?

    • @EnduroHutch
      @EnduroHutch  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s great for hare scramble racing and enduro riding. For technical enduro not so much. Just not the bike for me. I like gnarly mountain goat trails and hill climbs.

    • @calebmoody8714
      @calebmoody8714 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EnduroHutch do you think the rx would be a good second bike to go along with my CRF250X, that thing is a mountain goat and will take anything but definitely not the screamer the rx is

    • @EnduroHutch
      @EnduroHutch  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@calebmoody8714 If I raced GNCC I would be on the RX. I don't need a screamer....I raced 15 events last year on a TE150 which taught me that power to weight is important. I enjoy tight hare scrambles and ride hard enduro for fun. The best bike for that is a fuel injected 300 two stroke. I'm not a brand snob...I buy what works. I thought the Honda would be good for the riding i enjoy but I was wrong. It could have been my height and strength and endurance but I am really enjoying my new 300cc FI Two stroke.

    Nice riding. Is your bike still on stock suspension ? And how do you like it over the KTM 150.

    • @EnduroHutch
      @EnduroHutch  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 250rx has 100% stock suspension and works very well....especially on the jumps and hard hits. I Miss the lightweight feel of the TE150 for sure. The 250rx is a great GNCC style bike, but is a nightmare for hard enduro style tracks.

    I’ve been eyeing up a 19’ 250rx for a while now but still can’t pull the trigger... how’s the bike been for you? Feel any faster on it vs the 150?

    • @EnduroHutch
      @EnduroHutch  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's Different. I miss the lightweight feel of the Husky but I also enjoy the smooth power of the four stroke. I'm enjoying the 250rx, but will probably return to a Husky TE250. I enjoy Hard Enduro type riding too much to keep the 250rx.

      I have a 2020 rx and I find it amazing , it has great power and suspension is great stock, 10/10 in my opinion, best bike I’ve ever owned

    • @EnduroHutch
      @EnduroHutch  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aidanvelthuis1267 I agree it is amazing for everything except hard/extreme enduro. Four strokes stall too easy lugging runs hotter and its definitely heavier. Not sure if I will use the RX in the TKO this year for those reasons.

      Daniel Fishman I sold it to try a four stroke. Chances are I will be going back to a Husky 250. I’ll be at the Tennessee Knockout this year and can’t see wrestling a heavy Honda four stroke. I miss the lightweight feel.
