How to Knit Complex Cables - Knitting Tutorial

Knitters new to knitting cables will see that most cables you encounter, no matter how complex, will be worked using the same methods as basic cables, with a set of stitches (could be 2, or 3 or 4…) twisting either right or left over another set of stitches. Some complex cables might have an extra step, like these.

2/1/2 LC (Cable 2 over 2 Left, with 1 center back)
Slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold in front; knit 2 stitches, slip 1 stitch from cable needle back onto left-hand needle, knit that 1 stitch, knit 2 stitches from cable needle.
2/1/2 RC (Cable 2 over 2 Right, with 1 center back)
Slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold in back; knit 2 stitches, slip 1 stitch from cable needle back onto left-hand needle, knit that 1 stitch, knit 2 stitches from cable needle.
