Only Serena can bagel an elite player 3 days after suffering the most horrific loss in her career. You can tell she wanted to make a statement and she WILLED herself to bagel Simona in that final. Epic payback! And in the final too compared to Halep’s win which was in a meaningless round robin match.

Especially the Sharapova montage 😄 I reckon the best revenge (had it happened) would’ve been against Vinci if they drawn each other again after the US Open 2015 with Serena winning before Vinci retired in Rome 2018. I like how when Serena loses she gets in front of her opponents at the nets and looks back at them and analyzes their winning emotions, and sometimes gives them a look like "paybacks a bytch".
My my Serena did not have time to rest after the dbls match plus she had insufficient training . She showed some flashes of her greatness despite insufficient preparation for the US Open.

Include the one where Mugu won Wimbledon and put the trophy plate on her head....then Serena won and put the trophy on her head.
That didnt happen accordingly if you think you are stirring up some unrealistic drama. First of all, Serena won Wimbledon in 2002,2003,2009,2010,2012,2015, and 2016. Muguruza won just once in 2017. So, if it's about who was lifting the Venus Rosewater Dish trophy plate on their head first and then followed by the other player, it's the other way around. But, why making it like there's a revenge beef between these two? If it has nothing to do with that some sort of "sweet revenge matches" that is being put in this specific context, why bringing that up and pointing out two different Wimbledon events that you recalled over their time in the opposite direction, going backwards from the 2017 to 2016.
