    correction: I used an WS2812B strip. WS2811 is a 12v strip and WS2812B is 5v

Cool video, but what happens when you use frosted acrylic sheets over the led panel. I'm trying to make a project where the acrylic smooths out the light to make it look less pixel like, however I have some shapes and such that I'm not sure would survive. So my questions are
1, would the colors blend or no, and 2, would the shapes I have not exist. (For context my shapes are •_• and ❤ and those shapes are the only light active so they wouldn'tclash with other lights) I'm using the acrylic to disperse the light so the led panel doesn't make it look spread apart. Thanks for your time

Without a barrier between the LEDs, the acrylic will disperse the light, making the shapes a bit tricky to see. To keep those shapes intact, consider adding dividers around them. I've built something similar in the past, where each shape was completely isolated. I used baking paper as a diffuser and foam board as a divider, and it worked pretty well. Hope that helps with your project!

I am scared working with an ATX Power supply. Is it safe to work on?

Under proper safety precautions you should be fine. I've never had any safety issues with ATX power supplies.

You mentioned a software to make led patterns. What software do you recommend?

I've used one called Glediator. It's a little bit more complex but really good once you get the hang of it.
