"what is he doing? He's stopping all the time!!" I really love seeing and listening to vettel raging and he is the reason why I now love formula 1 of all racing.
Ric bobby defo break checked him, stupid but I don't think intentional, behind SC it does happen with the immense acceleration and deceleration of these cars, not only that they are alot harder to control at low speeds
+SmoothRacing Dude, the 2012 cars looked like utter shit. Not to mention the V8 was literally a toned down V10. Seasons like 2003 and 2005 were by far better, both in terms of engine, tyres, strategy, looks, tracks and races. 2007 and 2008 as well but those cars had a tad too many winglets.
+Matthew Panini I like the 2012 cars, and surely you can't judge a season on the look and sound of the cars? Who really cares if you have a field full of V10 cars which look nice but the racing is shit, or would you rather have V8s which still sound brilliant, 8 different winning drivers and 6 different winning teams, fantastic wheel to wheel action and more overtaking than any other season and of course a title that goes down to the absolute wire? Anyway I respect your opinion :P
SmoothRacing 2012 was a phenomenal season. Multiple winners. Tyres were unpredictable and it was relatively close for most of the season. More importantly cars could follow each other!
+SmoothRacing Best season of modern day F1? I doubt it. Kinda liked F1 2010 more where 5 drivers were in the race for the title. In comparison F1 in 2012 was in the end more or less a race between Vettel and Alonso. The other guys were not consistent enough or had reliability issues. I didn't like the look of the cars in 2012 with those stepped noses either. For me the 2011 cars looked their best: No stupid shark fins and no stepped noses. However the racing was not as exciting (11 victories for Vettel). Best season? Tough call, really liked the 2009 season. Force India's first podium. Red Bull's first win, McLaren and Ferrari starting from the back of the field and then winning mid-season.
Engineer: "Ok Kimi, next car behind you is Alonso. Alonso's 5 seconds behind you. I'll give you data on the gap, i'll give you data on the pace." Kimi:" Just leave me alone, i know what im doing." Engineer: "Ok Kimi you need to keep working all 4 tyres please, keep working all 4 tyr...." Kimi: "Yes yes yes yes im doing it all the time, you dont have to remind me every 10 seconds." Engineer: " Ok."
***** i have been watching F1 since 2009 and i was a fan off: 2009 = Fernando Alonso 2010 = Fernando Alonso ----> Mark Webber 2011-2015 = Sebastien Vettel (Btw, how do u spell seb? Sebastian or Sebastien??)
The F1 media sometimes laughed at Murray Walker's famous gaffes, calling them Murrayisms. I think they could come up with something cute to describe Kimi's replies and quotes as there's clearly nobody as wild and colorful as him right now! I like how he tends to be a man of VERY few words. The pit boss will say "Kimi, Grosjean's engine blew so you're up to second now. You're clocking about a second slower than Vettel so you need to do over a second better with each lap to catch him. Better move fast because your next pit stop is in 12 laps." Kimi: "Okay, I will beat Vettel!" LOL. I KNOW he'll say something like that! : )
2012 was an amazing season. 2010 and the start of 2013 where really good as well. I really did feel for Alonso not winning that championship. That Ferrari in 2012 was a joke and how he dragged that to just three points from the championship was astonishing. I hope Formula 1 can have at least one season on the future like 2012.
The Abu Dhabi 2010 Grand Prix is definitely my favourite. It was way more dramatic than this. Not because of crashes or any particular lines other than "DU BIST WELTMEISTER!" but rather because it was the last race of the season and 4 people were competing for the championship at the same time (Seb, Lewis, Fernando and Mark).
2010 and 2012 are amazing seasons! It has been downhills ever since. When you have a season where one driver just runaway from everyone else, that's just boring.
10 years since I saw this legendary race! I remember I was supposed to be preparing for my financial management exam that night but instead wasted time watching the race! And now kimi is retired. How time moves on 😭
Its pretty awesome how vettel catched 3rd. He started from pit, and had to be 2 times in box because of damage. Great strategie, great driving. Please more if this, this year Seb.
Love the pit crew waiting at the finish so excited. They had a great year scoring many points between their drivers but it's still different actually getting the win.
2006 at 2012 was the best years of F1. The race were very unforeseeable and you saw many crashes, collisions, something that is rare today to see, and was 3 teams fighting with the championship
I really miss this time. I know Kimi wasn't the happiest with Lotus because they had financial issues but back then he at least was able to win races and it was awesome because lotus is a smaller company but Kimi brought it up and showed skills on how to save tires during racing etc.. there were so many awesome moments
+Bence Ónodi Are you joking right? In 2012 every race was exciting even Monaco while in 2007 the most of the time there were dominant wins by Ferrari or Mclaren and absolutely no battles for 1st place.
The Undisputed malaysia! I was Fernando Alonso Supporter, but Sergio Perez with his little Sauber that caused troubles to Alonso was absolutely the best thing I ever saw in F1! (I follow formula 1 since 2011 Turkish GP, when I was 11)
I became a fan of motorsports in 2014. I remain a fan of Formula 1 in the hopes that we will return to a time like this, when it's not 2 or 3 teams only fighting for podiums and wins.

Well, turned out he actually knew what he was doing......
Papa mia Seems like it
Jonathan Passikhani I hope he still knows what he is doing to win a race
Papa mia he always knows
Finally he was right after years of saying so
Yeah Crashtor Maldonado always does
engineers: "Kimi, tyres are below racing temperature"
Kimi: "Car is below racing speed and you don't see me complaining"
Wait, did this actually happen?😂😂
😂😂
no offence but u copied it
3:20 the guy in the middle must be the one kimi shouted on.
Pranav Pawar haha yea
Lol that’s funny
He's like, cheer all you want. I don't think Kimi would want me to.
I'm still laughing with Vettel and the DRS sign
"what is he doing? He's stopping all the time!!" I really love seeing and listening to vettel raging and he is the reason why I now love formula 1 of all racing.
Ric bobby defo break checked him, stupid but I don't think intentional, behind SC it does happen with the immense acceleration and deceleration of these cars, not only that they are alot harder to control at low speeds
@@FlatMetal22 "You have 10 second stop and go penalty for... dangerous driving... that we need to pay in 2 laps from now."
And riccardio was the driver who weaved him
Leave him alone, he didn't know what he was doing
Miss those days when cars could actually follow and we had different teams on pole and on the podium/winning :/ best season of modern day formula 1
+SmoothRacing Dude, the 2012 cars looked like utter shit. Not to mention the V8 was literally a toned down V10.

+Matthew Panini 2007, 2008 were much more intense. 2003 had the odd good race while 2005 the no tyre change rule wasn't great.
+Matthew Panini I like the 2012 cars, and surely you can't judge a season on the look and sound of the cars? Kimi Riakkonen: not giving a fuck since 2002
I'm pretty sure he didn't give a fuck before F1 either.
I think he NEVER did :)
Who is Riakkonen?
Soldier Of North Mika Hakkenen's pseudo name. Idk why people though I was talking about Kimi Raikkonen.
Soldier Of North he's a badass
2012= best season in modern day F1...
Have to agree. There was alot of action almost every race. But 2010 and the start of 2013 were also nice.
+pomsforthewin87 2010 was better IMO, but the finale for 2012 was better, even though I still wish Alonso had that championship.
+pomsforthewin87 2012 & 2010
Hey poms, ausome videos you make
2003, 2010 and 2012 were those rare, special seasons.
Engineer: "Ok Kimi, next car behind you is Alonso. Alonso's 5 seconds behind you. I'll give you data on the gap, i'll give you data on the pace."

i will give you data on the gap not thank you ;D
and the last kimi radio is u dont have to remind me every 10 seconds
***** thx. I got my info from my mom (she's a Kimi fan :p)
Indra 251202
i am Kimi/Seb/Fernando fan :D

actually Kimi says ''just leave me alone i know what to do!''
FINALLY!
"I know what I'm doing" is actually Spa 2012
Too bad they didn't give him drink, gloves and steering wheel
Mandella effect have changed Kimi's sayings, I clearly remember it was "...leave me alone, I know what im doing."
Mandela effect
"Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing". It's a classic of Kimi!!
Come on, get that McLaren out of the way!
This guy is a F***ing joke
WTF is this marrusia doing?

+largol33t1 :)
what about yes yes yes i do it all the time, you dont have to remind every 10 seconds, that was also iconic but you completely missed it. 😱
Come on, get that engineer out of the way!
2012 was one of the best season in my opinion. First 7 races, won by seven different winners.
One of the many races that made Hamilton's decision to leave McLaren very easy.
lol
+Jraybay and then there was Malaysia 2016 lol. now hes gonna want to leave merc
Imagine if Alonso went to Mercedes and Lewis stayed with mclaren
Patrick Star if Button went to Mercedes and Hamilton stayed to McLaren
Rasengan VXW Probably wouldn't have retired, that's for sure
Roses are red
Violets are blue
JUST LEAVE ME ALONE
I KNOW WHAT TO DO
Ev0lv omg this couldnt have been better 😂😂😂😂
So underrated
You know it’s an AMAZING season when the Abu Dhabi GP is good.
This aged well
It very much repeated itself
2016 and 2021: I hear Ya
why wasn't I watching f1 those years...
Kostas Skam sane lol
Quite important detail - if Alonso had won the race, he would have won the whole Championship that year 2012.
I remember watching this race, I literally jumped out my seat when Kimi went across the line, wish he could start winning again soon.
Alonso, Kimi and Seb in a podium! Pure bliss 🤌🏻
1:10 Maurizio Arrivabene :O
oh lol just noticed
2:03 Lewis has been"TOONED"
+Adrian Piwnik lmao
+Adrian Piwnik More likely he's been Tooned down.
Adrian Piwnik HAHAHAHAHA! TOONED
1:52 OH NO NOOOOOOO
2:30 Typical Maldonado
1:40 He brake tested me!!
After 6 years, KIMI FINALLY WON!
Fkn finally

I was lucky enough to be there that year. An amazing race to watch live even without commentary

2:50 just postin this so i can hear that engine sound
Thx buddy!
Time to hear the engine sound again.
I prefer this 2012 race than any other Abu Dhabi races
alot of people agree with you
Favourite Japanese grand prix,
Favourite Abu Dhabi grand prix,
Favourite United States grand prix
Kimi Rules !
This season made me respect alonso alot he squeezed the little potential out of the ferrari like a wringing a wet rag
2010 and 2012 are amazing seasons!
It has been downhills ever since. When you have a season where one driver just runaway from everyone else, that's just boring.
Happy now?
@@hasinaacter4686 lol
Lets just all ignore the fact that Maldonado finished 5th?
iksio He could have finish second, but he wasnt that fast compared to Alonso and the others
10 years since I saw this legendary race! I remember I was supposed to be preparing for my financial management exam that night but instead wasted time watching the race! And now kimi is retired. How time moves on 😭
That “WHAT IS HE DOIN” from Vettel is legendary for real 😂
Its pretty awesome how vettel catched 3rd. He started from pit, and had to be 2 times in box because of damage. Great strategie, great driving. Please more if this, this year Seb.
Last to third challenge complete
2:30 classic Maldonado
kimi is a master...
best season ever.. miss dem old days
and once again you can see the talent from seb starrting p19 and finishing p3 i miss those days...
1:12 Arrivabene in background :D
3 legends on the podium
Happy Retirement, Kimi. We Will miss You All
I still remember this classic "Just Leave me Alone i know what to do" from Raikkonen in 2012
Yes yes yes i'm doing all the time you don't have to remind every ten secounds
111 days... CANT WAIT FOR 2016!
Ofitus 21 Well now the year is over too and i cant wait for 2017
F1 Joker 116 days this time round... it's a looooooooong wait
Ofitus 21 yes :(
Well atleast Kimi knew what he was doing
Charles told the ferarri guys to shut up
and Max passed him in Austria
Maldonado hahahah 2:32
Only the true crash master can do that and get away with no damage.
Love the pit crew waiting at the finish so excited. They had a great year scoring many points between their drivers but it's still different actually getting the win.
that podium is so epic! Kimi, Fernando and Sebastian!
2:21 this goes to show you: Don't try to melt the "Iceman"!
2012 was in my opinion the greatest year in my lifetime
2006 at 2012 was the best years of F1. The race were very unforeseeable and you saw many crashes, collisions, something that is rare today to see, and was 3 teams fighting with the championship
Kimi we will always love you ❤️❤️❤️
He really knew what he was doing =D
2:49 Oh that sound is beautiful!
6 yrs on. Still my favorite abudhabi grandprix.
Other drivers if they win : Crying, dancing, jumping around, screaming at the top of their lungs.
And we have Kimi : \ 🙂 /

I remember these days. So many different people competing. My favorite F1 season by far.
This race has more highlights than the whole 2018 season
Man....that final livery for Kimi's car
That Lotus was a absolute beauty!!
2012 was best season
2007
+Bence Ónodi Are you joking right? In 2012 every race was exciting even Monaco while in 2007 the most of the time there were dominant wins by Ferrari or Mclaren and absolutely no battles for 1st place.
+Forza SV5 India 2012 ? Exciting ? Wasnt the race when Vettel took a the pole, victory, best lap and led every lap ?
i prefer 2007 that's it
+MondayFriday i'm waiting for the end of this era. i hope we will see fascinating races soon. Exciting final race :D Btw are you British?
The best Abu Dhabi race so far , for sure.
will miss you legend
That redbull is fast. Vettel from pitlane. Wing changes still podium, but there are so many retirements though.
Seems like the 2021 abu dhabi gp is gonna replace the 2012 one as the best
🥲 who’s here after knowing Kimi is gonna retire…
these engines sounded so much better D:
Alfa's tribute livery for Kimi, "Dear Kimi, We will leave you alone now" they're going to make the iceman melt a little bit.

2021 Abu Dhabi grand prix:
Hold my beer...
Ahh good ol f1 days
Kimi❤❤❤
Kimi: Just leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!
This is my favourite radio message from Kimi!
Poor Webber
Kimi: “Leave me alone, I know what I’m doing!”
*proceeds to win the race*
My favorite Abu Dahbi GP was 2021.
Was a very boring race overall though
Damn 2012 the best season ever! (my opinion)
+Rubens exotics 7 different winner in 7 different races....you right
I agree.
Button, Alonso, Rosberg, Vettel, Maldonado, Webber, Hamilton! The seven different winners in the first 7 races.
Which was you guy's favorite race of 2012?
1. Brazil
2. Valencia
3. Abu Dhabi
4. Austin
5. Spain
6. Malaysia
The Undisputed malaysia!
I was Fernando Alonso Supporter, but Sergio Perez with his little Sauber that caused troubles to Alonso was absolutely the best thing I ever saw in F1!
(I follow formula 1 since 2011 Turkish GP, when I was 11)
+The Undisputed italia or Canadá were good too
Kimiiii!!! Great weekend!!
imo this season was the best in many years
What a dramatic race 🏁
I love it
I became a fan of motorsports in 2014. I remain a fan of Formula 1 in the hopes that we will return to a time like this, when it's not 2 or 3 teams only fighting for podiums and wins.
Bring James Allen back to commentary. His voice along with Brundle was part of why I stuck with F1 when all my schoolmates were watching Moto GP.
2012 was such a good year for F1
10 years ago today.
Best season ever!
Great memories! Go Kimi!
I was at this race, west grandstand..great spot.
Devastated when Lewis retired, great race all the same.
What a freaking crazy race
Kimi actually says: Just leave me alone, I know what to do
I can't wait for the next Grand Prix!!! go vettel
The "Leave Me Alone I Know What I'm Doing" Race
catchy :)
we will leave you alone now.
I remember after seeing this race i got up and clapped, it was very good!
Here after his Retierment, you will be missed Kimi !
We will leave you alone now, Kimi. We'll miss you.
Any race with Kimi on the top step is a popular one
What will they do next year instead of these votings? Maybe Interviewing one pilot each race (as there are 21 races for 22 pilots next year, that would be great)
+J fer Yeah, because clearly if there's one thing F1 does too much of it's cater to it's fans... :P
Well... i remember ditching school to watch this race. i was bloody 10 years old
