I just got done with taking mine to a zero degree scandiVex. It's wicked sharp now hairs fall off my arm with zero drag 😬 scary ninja 🥷 sharp. LOL I think yours came with a better edge than mine did. I was not happy with their 24° secondary which was able to cut paper but not wood. I love Tops but sometimes their edges are way to abrupt. In my opinion they need to make these in a true scandi with buffed vex or very small secondary. I feel bad for anyone buying it who thinks its even close to a puukko grind. I did mine by hand it wasn't fun , mainly cause holding that handle to reprofile is painful. I am VERY happy now and everyone should learn how to profile a blade . ..It is a good feeling when you can make a knife be what its supposed to be... I think the Trivitatta is a better out of box experience but even that knife has a secondary I had to remove. I will compare the two in a video when I get a chance.
Yeah I haven't completed the edge on either of mine. I usually fix it a little at a time when I need to touch it up. I start by removing the shoulder then perfect the scandivex. Guess I'm lazy but it gets done eventually lol.
I have taken the handle off of mine it is not hard but you will have to take deal with the fact that the pins will not go back in I epoxied mine that why I took them off mine looks so different from a new one I’ve used it so much over a 3 year period the blade is so much smaller but it is still working great
I love mine. Puukko designs are one of my favourites, especially the 'barrel' handled ones...
Right on brother!
Tops makes great knives. One of these days I’m going to add the Tanimboca Puukko to my lil band of blades.
You won't regret it pinkie.

Yeah I thought the pins would be a problem thanks for letting me know!
Screws in the handle? I’m passing
The screws have been no problem.
No problem at all they are brass to deal with corrosion, been a great knife for all environments
